Battlefield fans, get ready for a treat. We’re a couple hours away from the official reveal of BF4 and until we get our hands on its teaser trailer, we can all take a look at the first leaked screenshots that hit the Internet a couple of minutes ago. Battlefield 4 is said to be powered by the next iteration of the Frostbite engine, and these shots show off visuals that surpass even those of Crysis 3. Battlefield 4 Official Website Now Live – IGN Controversy Arises Due To The Website’s Source Code

The official website of Battlefield 4 has gone live today, however its source code includes a hidden message that made some laugh and others cry out loud. It appears that IGN has already a promo article for DICE’s upcoming FPS title, suggesting that EA has partnered with IGN in order to promote it. That, or a DICE has already held a press event and showcased its title to a number of gaming portals, meaning that preview articles will start popping out in a couple of days. Rumor: Battlefield 4 Details – 64 Player Maps, Three Factions, DLC Already In Planning Stages

Some new – rumored – details have emerged yesterday for the fourth part of the Battlefield series, coming from the same source who was the first to leak the Battlefield 4 artwork / teaser, and who was also spot on about EA releasing a teaser trailer. In other words, this new info could be real but as with all rumors, take everything you are about to read with a grain of salt.

Confirmed: Battlefield 4 To Be Unveiled On March 26th – UPDATE – Cover Art Leaked

And it’s official everyone – Battlefield 4 will be unveiled on this year’s GDC. Electronic Arts and DICE sent today some invitations for a Battlefield 4 event that will be held on March 26th. As the invitation confirms, we’ll be getting our first look on the next-era of Battlefield, meaning that EA and DICE may showcase Battlefield 4 on PC or PS4. Rumored Battlefield 4 First Screenshots Are Fake, Taken From BF3’s Cinematic Trailer

A couple of hours ago, gamers were jumping up and down when some rumored screenshots of Battlefield 4 hit the Net. Everyone was amazed by the visuals, however these are nothing more than shots from a cinematic trailer for BF3 that was created a year ago. Yeap, these are not images from Battlefield 4. As we can clearly see, Creative Studios had created a cinematic trailer for W+K and Electronic Arts. Sadly, BF4 won’t look this good. Well, we all know that Sony is holding a meeting tomorrow, in which the Japanese company might reveal Playstation 4. However, we might get some interesting Battlefield news tomorrow during that meeting. That, or Electronic Arts is gearing up for a Battlefield 4 reveal. Remember DICE’s excuse for not giving away the mod tools for both Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3? If not, DICE claimed that those tools were too complicated for modders and that’s why it did not release them. Of course we all know that DICE and Electronic Arts did not release them as they would have an impact on their DLC plans, but that’s a different story. But anyway, it seems that the modding community is back with a punch, as it’s working on some server and mod tools for Bad Company 2. Take that DICE. DICE has detailed the four new maps that will be featured in the last DLC of Battlefield 3. These four maps are: OPERATION RIVERSIDE, NEBANDAN FLATS, KIASAR RAILROAD and SABALAN PIPELINE. These four maps support the Air Superiority and Capture The Flag modes that will be added via this DLC, as well as the older Conquest, Rush, Squad Rush, Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch modes. Battlefield 3: End Game – Capture the Flag Gameplay & Air Superiority Gameplay Trailers

Electronic Arts has released a new gameplay trailer for the last DLC of Battlefield 3, End Game, showcasing the return of a classic mode that will be featured in it, our beloved Capture The Flag mode. Battlefield 3: End Game is the fifth expansion pack for DICE’s military FPS title, and will be out on March 2013. In addition, DICE has released a premium video that showcases the air superiority mode that will be featured in End Game. Enjoy!
