A couple of days ago, some new tech demos for Capcom’s Panta Rhei engine got unveiled. These tech demos showcase the impressive fire particles, as well as the smoke effects that are currently supported by this engine. Dualshockers has revealed some new information about Capcom’s next-generation engine, the Panta Rhei. According to Capcom’s Deputy General Manager of Technology Research and Development Masaru, the Deep Down demo that was presented during PS4’s presentation was running in real-time and Panta Rhei and had a variable frame rate above 30 frames per second. In addition, Capcom pushed 30 different shaders at the same time, a total texture capacity of 2GB and displayed between 10 and 20 million polygons per frame. Capcom has unveiled a new video from DuckTales Remastered, featuring 30 minutes of gameplay footage, in which Capcom’s Chris and Brett bring us a full blown look at the Himalayas level of it. DuckTales Remastered is planned for an August 13th release on PC, WiiU, PS3 and X360. Enjoy!

Capcom has released the first official screenshots for Strider, as well as a trailer featuring 7 minutes of gameplay footage. In this new Strider game, players will be able to freely explore vast, interconnected environments using Hiryu’s acrobatic skills. Players can use his trademark plasma-Cypher and new Kunai attacks to shred through enemy droves, while his trusty robot allies will return. Capcom has just unveiled at Comic-Con that a new Strider game is under development and has unveiled some new details about it. This new Strider game is developed by Double Helix and will be a 2.5D Metroidvania/Shadow Complex style title. This new SF game will be called Ultra Street Fighter IV and is planned for an early 2014 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Now this is simply amazing. Despite the fact that Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 never came to the PC, we’re big fans of it. And we are also big fans of Evolution. Earlier tonight, Super Smash Bros. Melee broke the viewership records as there were around 120K viewers online at the same time. Well, that record has been broken in just a couple of hours as Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 has now over 140K viewers, making it the most watched fighting game in history. During this year’s Evolution event, Capcom revealed that it will release a new update for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. This update will cost $15 and will add 5 new characters (Elena, Rolento, Poison, Hugo and an unannounced character) and 6 stages.
