DayZ Standalone Gets First Footage

Last week, we presented you some new screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. Well, time now to see it in motion. Rocket and Matt provided a quick overview of some new elements of the DayZ Standalone project, including the new engine support for clothing, the revised loot spawning mechanics, and some new areas on the map. In all seriousness, this seems really close to the DayZ mod (in terms of visuals), so let’s hope that they’ll overhaul them in the coming months. Bohemia Interactive renames ArmA 3’s main island, releases new screenshots

The new name, ‘Altis’, reflects the distinctive Mediterranean identity of its environment, but distinguishes it from the real-world Greek island of Lemnos, which has served as the main source of inspiration. DayZ Standalone Gets New Screenshots, Visuals Overhauled

Dean “Rocket” Hall has released a new set of screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. Not only that, but Dean has also revealed some interesting details about the game’s visuals. DayZ standalone will support a Volumetric Cloud system and will feature various lighting and material improvements that promise to overhaul the game’s visuals. Bohemia Developers Haven Been Released On Bail, Can Return To Czech Republic

Great news for ArmA III and Bohemia fans, as the two developers who were arrested and accused of espionage, Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar, have been released on bail and can go back to the Czech Republic. According to the official Bohemia website – dedicated to this incident – the bail-sum was set to 5,000 Euros each. New DayZ Standalone Screenshots

Dean Hall, creator of DayZ, has released a new set of screenshots from the standalone version of his zombie game that is being developed by him and Bohemia Interactive. Dean has also revealed some new information abou the standalone version. As you may have guessed, the game did not manage to hit its 2012 release date, and that was because Dean wanted to create something more than just a repackage of his mod. ArmA 3 Delayed To 2013, No Exact Release Date Given

Even though ArmA 3 was officially scheduled for release at the end of 2012 / start of 2013, we already knew that the game was not coming out anytime soon. And Bohemia has just informed us about the delay of its upcoming military sim title. According to the team, the additional development time will enable the project to reach its full potential, with the studio expecting to finalize their release plans in the new year. DayZ Standalone – New Screenshots Unveiled

Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall has released a new set of screenshots for the standalone version of DayZ. Dean is working closely with Bohemia for the development of the standalone version of DayZ, and has revealed that they are targetting for a ‘The Road’ experience. Keep also in mind that these are early screenshots and do not represent the final quality of the game. As Dean described, in these screenshots the greater range of buildings that now have interiors is displayed, from the large office buildings, to the hospitals, metalwork factories, through to small cottages.
