Now here is a nice surprise. Following the release of Dragonborn for the PC version of Skyrim, Bethesda has updated its official HD texture pack. As a result of that, PC gamers will be able to enjoy overhauled textures in all of their DLCs (Dragonborn, Dawnguard and Hearthfire). This is remarkably amazing as we know that a lot of PC gamers want to stick with the official HD pack instead of the custom packs that were created by the modding community of Skyrim. Good news for Skyrim PC fans (or at least for those that don’t mind paying for more stuff in their games via the form of DLC) as the latest DLC, Dragonborn, is currently available on Steam and is priced at 19,99€. That’s almost one third of Skyrim’s initial price mind you but then again, you will be able to ride dragons so who cares? Oh right, there was a mod in development that let you do it. Good news for all Elder Scrolls fans, as the registrations for The Elder Scrolls Online’s beta phase are now open. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet when this beta phase will kick off, meaning that it may take up to five months before you get your hands on it. Still, if you’re looking forward to it, you should go ahead and register. Bethesda has also released a new trailer for its MMO game that can be viewed below. Now let’s be honest; one of the biggest issues of the Gamebryo engine is its distant blurry textures. You see, due to how this engine works, distant textures look blurry as hell. This was also one of our main issues with Oblivion, though modder QARL released – back then – an amazing texture pack for those distant textures. Now here is something interesting. Voice actor Erik Todd Dellums has tweeted that Fallout 3 and ThreeDog fans may get a nice surprise this year. Although Erik did not reveal much, we can safely say that this is about either a new Fallout game or a Fallout movie. Fallout 3 is a really old game so we don’t expect to see a new DLC for it.
