Success – DICE Will Offer An Option To Disable The Color Grading Effect In Battlefield 3

And success everyone. DICE’s software engineer on servers and persistence, Mikael Kalms, revealed that the company will include a console command with which players will be able to disable – completely – Battlefield 3’s color grading. The good news here is that this will not get you banned from the official servers. The bad news is that there is no mention about the third-party tool/mod that already does this particular thing. Battlefield 3 – Aftermath DLC Premiere Trailer & Details Unveiled

Electronic Arts and DICE have released the premiere trailer for Battlefield 3’s Aftermath DLC. According to the developers, this trailer provides a premiere look at the fourth multiplayer expansion pack Battlefield 3: Aftermath, where DICE throws players into an all-new harrowing environment: The shattered districts, streets and cities of post-earthquake Iran. Players will struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation, with heavily modified vehicles and the all-new crossbow at their disposal. Battlefield 3 GFX Mod Showcases Amazing Visuals

Last week, we informed you about a mod that removes the blue tint filter and the colour grading effects from DICE’s FPS, Battlefield 3. Although the comparison screenshots looked great, players had the ability to further tweak the settings of that mod. Electronic Arts removes content from Battlefield 3’s Aftermath and End Game DLC

And here we go again. It seems that EA has removed some content from Battlefield 3’s upcoming DLC, Aftermath and End Game. According to the official BF3 Twitter account, Aftermath was supposed to include new weapons, however it has been confirmed that both Aftermath and End Game won’t feature any new weapons, at all. Death Race 2 Is A Gorgeous Battlefield 3 Machinima Film – Trailer Released

Mr Kees De Koning is creating a pretty cool Battlefield 3 machinima movie, called Death Race 2, that focuses on speed, intense races, vehicles and death. Battlefield 3 – War Movies Recreated In DICE’s FPS Title

Now this is bloody amazing. Reddit’s user ‘sharpless512‘ shared some interesting wallpapers, showcasing war movies posters that have been recreated in Battlefield 3. The movies that have been recreated are: Jarhead, Black Hawk Down, Art of Valor, The Hurt Locker and Three Kings. A comparison between the real ones and those recreated in BF3 can be viewed below. Battlefield 3 Mod Removes Blue Lighting & Color Grading – Offers Natural Colors

Okay, let’s be honest here; one of the most controversial – graphical – things of Battlefield 3 was its blue tint filter that was used. We don’t know why DICE decided to go that route (must be the same reason the decided to overuse those Anamorphic Lens), but we’re thankful that there are modders out there, willing to go the extra mile and improve the game’s visuals. Only in Battlefield 3 Winners Announced

DICE has announced the winners for its ‘Only In Battlefield 3′ contest. According to the company, over 1,200 fan made Battlefield 3 videos reached our inbox, and the level of quality was exceptional. The three winners are [GDO]Aziimut, MongolFPS and jackfrags. [GDO]Aziimut’s entry was focused on helicopters and how they can change the events of a match, while MongolFPS’ entry was dedicated to teamwork. Jackfrags though was the best – in our opinion – as it featured lots of action, great scenes and destruction. This could easily pass as an official trailer, so kudos to the player for achieving something like that. You can view all three videos below, so go ahead and take a look! Okay, expect to see more of these videos everyone as gamers are really into this ‘Gangnam Style’ thing. YouTube’s member ‘PixelatedPie1’ has created an interesting Battlefield 3 video and used the game’s guns to simulate the song’s vocals.
