Online retailer Tesco may have spilled the beans on Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty title. According to the game’s description on the retailer’s website – a page that is no longer unavailable – Call of Duty: Ghosts uses a new game engine. Exciting stuff, right? However, things may not be as good as you’d hoped. Why you ask? But because we’re pretty sure that this ‘new’ engine is simply an evolution of the current engine that is being used in the previous COD titles and nothing more. Activision announced that the Uprising DLC pack for the PC and PS3 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be made available on May 16th. This pack includes four new multiplayer maps, plus “Mob of the Dead,” a bone-chilling new Zombies experience that takes players to the notorious prison island of Alcatraz. Several of Hollywood’s most iconic actors round out the cast of Prohibition-era mobsters, including Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, Chazz Palminteri and Joe Pantoliano to bring this horrifying adventure to life. Following Nvidia’s steps, Activision has released a new tech demo that showcases a next-generation character. This animated character is being rendered in real-time on current video card hardware, using standard bone animation. According to its description, the original high resolution data was acquired from Light Stage Facial Scanning and Performance Capture by USC Institute for Creative Technologies, then converted to a 70 bones rig, while preserving the high frequency detail in diffuse, normal and displacement composite maps. A couple of minutes ago, Infinity Ward has revealed – via its official FB page – a new image of Captain Price. This new image is probably a teaser for the upcoming reveal of the next Call of Duty title, and we can safely assume that Captain Price will be featured in it. After all, there wouldn’t be any reason to share such a picture if that wasn’t a hint, right? A new video – that looks like a teaser trailer of Modern Warfare 4 – has appeared on the Net a couple of minutes ago. Since this isn’t anything official and as nothing has been confirmed right now, you should definitely take it with a grain of salt. Still, it looked interesting so we decided to share it with you. This teaser presents Captain Price who seems to be in Mexico. GDC 2013 is underway and everyone is currently awaiting for the upcoming reveal of Battlefield 4. Therefore, this is either an intentional leak or a fake video that was created in order to take attention away from BF4. Activision declined to comment on the trailer, so this could be the real deal.
