CryEngine 3 never ceases to amaze us. Crytek has just released the latest 3.3.9 version of their SDK and as you’d expect, some modders decided to experiment with it. Be advised though: lights are not rendered into the cubemaps with this new version of CryEngine 3’s SDK and both supersampling & customres are not working. Hopefully Crytek will release a hotfix in the coming days. But anyway, today we bring you new shots from modders iSqueezee, Lex4art, Nevil112, ReVan1199, blackhorizon, rGOt, Cleric, Lavizh, USSR_GRAND, Cry-Puppy, and frmdbl. Enjoy! Slightly Mad Studios has released a new build for Project CARS and – naturally – its community has captured some amazing shots from it. It’s really hard to believe that the following shots are actually in-game visuals and not some photoshopped images. What’s even more interesting is that Project CARS is still in pre-alpha stage. Slightly Mad Studios promised to re-work some of the game’s assets, the trees for instance, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. Enjoy! Now this is why we love modders. Modder ‘theonebutcher’ has been working for a little while on a corridor space map that looks very similar to the ones found in Doom 3. This map comes with custom assets and the level of detail is simply astonishing. This map could very well be a glimpse of how Doom 3 (or even the upcoming new Doom game) would look like in CryEngine 3. CryEngine 3 is an amazing engine with so much potential and we really hope that more developers will license and put it into good use. Enjoy!
