Awesome news for anime and Diablo fans as Blizzard’s upcoming Diablo III will get an animated short film. Diablo III: Wrath is directed by Peter Chung and will tell the breakdown of the angels players will be able to see inside the minds of the angels and understand how they do and don’t work together. No ETA has been announced as of yet but the film will be made available before the game’s release. We’ll keep you posted, so stay tuned for more. Enjoy! Back in April, Croteam and Devolver played a little joke to all Serious Sam 3 fans as they announced their – supposedly fake – plans for Serious Sam 3’s DLC. A lot of SS3 fans got disappointed when they found out that it was an April Fool’s joke. Well, it seems that Croteam and Devolver had something going on and wanted to simple tease back then, as the publisher has revealed that we’ll be getting some DLC news this week for both Serious Sam HD and Serious Sam 3. Zapruder Pictures created an amazing short film that is based on Remedy’s Max Payne. Written and directed by Guillermo Fernández de Oliveira and Javier Esteban Loring, Max Payne: Valhalla is the best tribute to this classic third person shooter game. It has noir-style monologues, graphic novel panels, follows the events of the game so closely… hell, it even has a reload sequence. Now that’s just brilliant. So sit back and enjoy Max Payne fans. Slightly Mad Studios have released a new set of screenshots for their community based racing game, Project CARS. These shots were captured by the game’s member PLM5, WIZZA, GIONIGHT1, DISLOID, KELNOR34, TJC, BEN BUJA, SPIDEY, TREFLE, SQD, JONZ, KINGPING, FIREWIRE & GKSDLQQ. As usual, the shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode with no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. Although we already know enough about Relic’s upcoming sequel to one of the best strategy games, Company of Heroes, it has been revealed that an official announcement – as well as the first official details about it – will be unveiled this coming Monday, on May 7th. Modder ‘DARTH__VADER’ has released a new version of his DarthMod mod for Creative Assembly’s strategy game, Total War: Shogun 2. DarthMod 4.0 comes with bayonets support. Bayonets are finally available thanks to the mod of IGdood and kungfuserge and DarthMod has used this mod’s technique to enable Bayonets and balanced the stats accordingly. Kalypso Media and Realmforge revealed today their upcoming vampire RPG that will be called ‘DARK’. The game puts players in the shoes of Eric Bane, an amnesia-stricken vampire who wakes up one day in a busy bar full of other vampires and it’s up to them to discover his past, fight through a dark and modern world, and utilize his powerful vampire abilities. Torchlight II’s closed beta is underway and YouTube’s member ‘Fr0styNinja’ has decided to upload the first 5 minutes of it. In this video, you’ll see the character creation, the game’s intro and some in-game footage from the first level. Truth be told, the game seems similar to Diablo 3 (in graphics and its artistic style). But then again, Torchlight had always a ‘cartoon-ish’ style.
