2K Sports has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming 2013 version of their acclaimed basketball game, NBA 2K13. EIDOS Montreal is working on the next part of the Thief series, Thief 4. Although we don’t know much about it, EIDOS Montreal promised to offer gameplay that would be similar to the one of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. In addition, Thief 4 will be powered by Unreal Engine 3. Hayssam Keilany, creator of iCEnhancer, shared an interesting new screenshot from what appears to be DICE’s Frostbite 3.0 Engine. According to the image, this is a shot from DICE’s Internal Test and showcases a wall and a Depth of Field effect. As the headline reads, this is a shot from Frostbite 3.0’s Pre-alpha build. DICE and Electronic Arts have not revealed anything about Frostbite 3.0 and we are not sure whether this is a legit shot or not, so take it with a grain of salt. Truth be told, the font of the letters seems a bit weird so this might be bogus. [UPDATE] After further investigation, it seems that this shot is bogus (mainly due to the font of the headline). Instead of deleting the post though, we decided to keep it. We don’t agree with Keilany’s attempt in using such a headline, but guess that’s a way to get everyone’s attention. Human Head Studios has re-released their third person Viking game, Rune, on Steam. Entitled as ‘Rune Classic’, this classic third person Viking game comes with new enemies, Steam Achievements, levels that have been redesigned for more enjoyable play, a number of Multiplayer modes (Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Arena and Headball), over 35 multiplayer and singleplayer levels, as well as the music tracks from the game and the original audio CD in OGG format. Hard Reset’s free Exile Expansion was initially slated for a late April release. As you may have guessed, the expansion has not been released yet and Flying Wild Hog informed us today about this delay. According to the company, its employees have been working hard (day and night) together with Steam to get the Expansion live and running for the last few weeks. Great news for all old-school FPS fans as Totalbiscuit has revealed the first in-game footage of the upcoming Painkiller remake, Painkiller Hell & Damnation. This new Painkiller will feature better physics effects, boss fights and better graphics. Painkiller Hell & Damnation is under development by The Farm 51 and is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3.
