Fallout: New Vegas Modder Restores Cut Content And Proves Why We Need Modding Tools For Our Games

Now this is precisely why we love mods and why developers should offer modding tools for their games. Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas is considered a gem and what Fallout 3 should be in the first place. Did you know however that the development team has cut content from the game and altered some areas in order to overcome the console hardware limitations? Of course and you didn’t, though you should expect it as Obsidian has also cut content from KOTOR 2. And as with KOTOR 2, a modder decided to restore the cut content in Fallout: New Vegas and introduce features that were originally meant to be included. Amazing Shenmue Parody via Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs

YouTube’s member ‘DSimphonyHD’ created an amazing Shenmue parody with Square Enix’s latest game, Sleeping Dogs. As DSimphonyHD says, much of this video will have no fun if you never played Shenmue before. The Lord Of The Rings Universe Is Coming To CryEngine 3 With This ‘Balrog Cinematic’ Project

Have you ever wondered what a LOTR game would look like in CryEngine 3? Well, it seems that we’ll find out pretty soon. Modder ‘The_Distiller’ – known for his work on a Judge Dredd CryEngine 3 project that was cancelled since he lost his assets – has been hard at work and is currently creating a cinematic sequence that is inspired by The Lord Of The Rings. This cinematic sequence is built with CryEngine 3 and focuses on The Balrog of Moria. No release date has been announced as of yet, but The_Distiller has released the first teaser trailer and screenshot for this project. Enjoy and stay tuned! Modder ‘trancemaster_1988’ has released the 1.9 version of his ‘Rebirth’ mod for Bethesda’s classic RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Morrowind Rebirth is an overhaul in which players can find new enemies to fight, exciting areas to explore, gain access to new weapons to slay your foes or just roam the huge world that’s out there. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron – Launch Trailer

Activision has released the launch trailer of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The PC version is being ported by developer Mercenary Games and will feature enhanced textures, lighting, and shadows and will have proper PC controls. Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm – Gamescom 2012 Trailer

Tripwire Interactive has released the Gamescom 2012 trailer for Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm. Rising Storm is an expansion that is being created in a first-of-its-kind collaboration between a mod team and a professional game development studio, and covers the famous island-hopping campaigns in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945 as the US Army and Marine Corps fight it out with the Imperial Japanese army and Special Naval Landing Forces.
