A couple of days ago, we informed about the Cease & Desist letter that Warner Bros sent to the MERP (Middle Earth Role Playing) modding team. As we said back then, Warner should not be sending such letters to modders as they are not creating commercial projects and they will not – obviously – earn any money from it. In fact, these guys are doing everyone a favour of creating such an ambitious mod. Naturally, the modding team will not give away 8 years of hard work so easily. Codemasters has released a new set of screenshots from its cockpit-less racing game, GRID 2. GRID 2 promises to challenge players to be fast, be first and be famous as they enter a stunning new world of competitive motorsport. GRID 2 is currently planned for a 2013 release and promises to also set new standards for a racing multiplayer experience with an entirely distinct and extensive gameplay component and unique progression system. Trent Oster has revealed some juicy details about the rumored third part of the Baldur’s Gate series. According to Oster, Baldur’s Gate will be powered by new technology and not by the engine that is behind Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition. Electronic Arts has released the launch trailer of Battlefield 3: Armored Kill. This trailer features never before seen gameplay from all four maps in Armored Kill — from the beautiful snow-capped Alborz Mountains to the biggest map in Battlefield history, Bandar Desert. Armored Kill features four new maps, six new vehicles with 20 unlocks, the new Tank Superiority game mode, and more. Harebrained Schemes has released the first screenshots of Shadowrun Returns. Shadowrun Returns is a story-based tactical role-playing game for desktop computers and tablets that was excessively (and wonderfully) funded by fans on Kickstarter. The team’s goal is to create a game that reflects the original tabletop RPG’s narrative and tactical detail, and acts as the spiritual successor to the groundbreaking Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Shadowrun games from way back in the 90’s. Shadowrun Returns features turn-based tactical action.
