F2P Arena Shooter ‘Xonotic’ Gets A Community Frag Movie

Imagine stating back in the Q3 days that arena shooters wouldn’t be around in a couple of years. Everyone will call you mad and crazy. And here we are today without any triple-A arena shooter capable of rivaling Q3 or UT2004. Man, I really miss arena shooters. Good news then that YouTube’s member ‘Djordje Simonovic’ has uploaded a great frag movie for Xonotic. Xonotic is a free (GPL), fast-paced first-person shooter that works on Windows, OS X and Linux. The project is geared towards providing addictive arena shooter gameplay which is all spawned and driven by the community itself, and is powered by the Darkplaces engine. Enjoy! Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [September 30th – October 6th]

The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and XCOM: Enemy Unknown are dominating Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. Guild Wars 2 is still at the second place of UK’s PC Retail Charts and is followed by The Sims 3, Borderlands 2, The Sims 3: Supernatural and Fifa 13. Skyrim is placed at the seventh place, whereas The Sims 3: Pets and Diablo III can be found at the eighth and ninth place, respectively. First Dishonored Review Score Leaked; game finished by some people under four hours

We normally don’t like sharing leaks about early review scores, but Dishonored is one of our most anticipated games of 2012 and we are happy to inform you that CVG’s score got leaked today. The reason we are happy is because the game gained an almost perfect score (9.5/10), suggesting that it is indeed one of the best games of 2012. Of course, early reviews can’t be trusted – well, most of the times – but we are pretty sure that Arkane Studios is capable of delivering a really interesting title. It’s a slow day today, therefore we decided to share with you a couple of videos that put Codemasters’ F1 2012 against Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS. Keep in mind that F1 2012 is a completed product, whereas Project CARS is in alpha phase and is not concentrated on F1 cars. Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero of Native American and English heritage, Connor. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date.
