Peter Molyneux is leaving Lionhead Studios

Okay, we know that Molyneux has been hyping his games to the death, but it’s really sad to see Lionhead’s co-founder leaving the company that he has created. As the big K revealed a couple of minutes ago, Peter Molyneux will be leaving Lionhead Studios after Fable: The Journey gets finished. Ironically, this very same thing happened with Bullfrog, the first company that Molyneux created. Bullfrog was bought by EA back in the days and after a while, Molyneux left it in order to create Lionhead Studios. It remains to be seen whether history will repeat itself, with Lionhead closing and Molyneux creating a new gaming studio. Continue reading Peter Molyneux is leaving Lionhead Studios

According to Sarah Wellock, Rocksteady’s European Community Manager, the patch is with G4WL for submission and awaits Microsoft’s certification. And as we’ve said and before, this is precisely why developers should ditch G4WL. Continue reading Incoming patch for Batman: Arkham City; DX11 performance and stuttering addressed

Diablo 3 PC Preview

It’s been almost 12 years since the release of Diablo 2. During this time, a lot of things can change. New challengers had entered the ring and tried to reclaim D2’s throne. None of them succeeded. Players have been waiting patiently for the next part of this legendary series and although Diablo 3 was revealed a couple of years ago, its development had started in 2001. This means that it’s been in development for eleven whole years. And frankly, during its development we’ve seen lots of changes. From a gritty, dark and gothic hack ‘n slash fest, Diablo 3 became a cartoon-ish and easier to the eyes’ action RPG. I seriously don’t know if Blizzard was influenced by Torchlight or WoW, however, D3 looked more serious and adult back then. Continue reading Diablo 3 PC Preview
