Remedy’s Writer Sam Lake Seems To Be Behind ‘This House Of Dreams’ Blog

Alan Wake v3
Surprise surprise everyone. Remember ‘This House Of Dreams’ blog, a blog that was said to be made by a fan that featured a lot of references to both Alan Wake 1 & 2. Well, it seems that the person behind it is Remedy’s own writer, Sam Lake. In an unexpected turn of events, Alan Wake’s forum member ‘Pickman’ shared two images that confirm this. One of these images is from ‘This  House Of Dreams’ blog and the other one is with Sam Lake in the very same room. Project CARS – New Mind-Blowing Community Screenshots

Project CARS v4
It’s really impressive witnessing the graphical improvements on Slightly Mad Studios’ racing game, Project CARS. The company has released today a new set of community screenshots that will blow you away. As always, these shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode with no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. In other words, this is how the game will look on your PCs (provided you use the same settings and SMAA/FXAA injectors with those who captured the screenshots). Enjoy! Vigil Games ‘Crawler’ Would Blow People Away; Platinum Games May Be Interested In The Darksiders IP

Vigil Games
Now let me start this post by saying that Darksiders II PC was a complete mess. You can read our performance analysis and find out what was wrong with it. In my opinion, Vigil should take care of the PC version, polish it, optimize it, and then release it. However, it did not and as a result of that, the PC version flopped. Not that the console versions were a success but Vigil could at least boost the game’s sales with a proper PC version of it. THQ Closes, SEGA Acquires Relic, Koch Media Gets Volition, Vigil Games Goes Down

THQ v2

Man, what an exciting afternoon it was. Yes, unfortunately THQ has been shut down and it’s really sad witnessing such a publisher going down. However, most of the company’s assets have been succesfully acquired by other companies, so there is nothing to worry about. Unless of course you’re interested in a new Darksiders 2 as Vigil Games was not sold to anyone and if THQ does not find a seller in the coming months, the studio will most probably close.
