Bohemia Interactive today announced their plans for the upcoming PC-exclusive tactical military shooter game, Arma 3. From next week onward, Tuesday March 5th, all are welcome to try out the authentic military gameplay and assist in the game’s development by participating in the Arma 3 Alpha. The Alpha will feature a limited amount of playable and sandbox content, receive regular updates and remain accessible until Arma 3’s Beta starts – which is expected in the second quarter of this year. As promised, AMD has unveiled its TressFX technology today and as we suspected, this new tech will be used in Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming Tomb Raider game. Modder Doomero has informed us about the release of the Doom The Mercenaries’ Zandronum Version (as expected, this version is compatible with Zandronum 1.0/SkulltagG98D). This is basically a mod for Doom that features characters from Resident Evil 4 and changes the perspective from first-person to third-person. Players can choose Leon Kennedy, Hunk, Ada Wong, Jack Krauser and Albert Wesker. This mod supports both SP and Co-Op modes, and can be downloaded from the here. Last week, we informed you about an early version of Resident Evil 1.5. Well, good news is that the team has not received yet any C&D letter from Capcom. What really surprised us, though, was the dedication of this team in this project and the fact that they’re experimenting with some ‘modern’ ideas. As a result of that experimentation, Resident Evil 1.5 might feature a third-person camera viewpoint, similar to the one of all recent Resident Evil games. Reddit’s user ‘floor24’ spotted an ARG website for Bohemia Interactive’s upcoming FPS military sim game, ArmA 3. According to the Reddit-or, this website was discovered last night, by people monitoring the Gamespy Servers for any ARMA 3 servers. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released some new screenshots from Lara’s latest adventures. Tomb Raider is currently planned for a March 5th release, and the PC version will sport some exclusive graphical features.
