Aaryn Flynn, GM for BioWare’s Edmonton & Montreal studios, has revealed that BioWare will be using the next iteration of DICE’s Frostbite engine for both the new Mass Effect game and Dragon Age III: Inquisition. Good news then I guess as developers will have the engine to push the game’s environments, physics, and visuals to higher standards. Dragon Age 2 was powered by the Lycium Engine, while the entire Mass Effect series was powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. A couple of minutes ago, Infinity Ward has revealed – via its official FB page – a new image of Captain Price. This new image is probably a teaser for the upcoming reveal of the next Call of Duty title, and we can safely assume that Captain Price will be featured in it. After all, there wouldn’t be any reason to share such a picture if that wasn’t a hint, right? Naturally, Infinity Ward has not revealed anything other than this image that was placed as a cover photo, so go ahead and enjoy it after the jump! Well, we all knew it but it’s nice to see an official confirmation of it. After all those rumors and speculations, Kojima and Konami have officially revealed that Metal Gear Solid 5 is The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes combined into one game. Kojima has showcased MGS5 at this year’s GDC on a PC with a X360 controller, meaning that there is already a PC version up and running. Unfortunately, MGS 5: The Phantom Pain is currently announced for X360 and PS3, and we cannot understand why Konami is not confirming the PC version that was showcased. Deep Silver and 4A Games announced – via the game’s official FB page – that Metro: Last Light will be receiving a new DLC called the Ranger Mode. This DLC will add a new difficulty mode, a new weapon and 100 in-game military grade bullets. And no, we’re not joking around. Truth be told, this DLC was also offered for Metro 2033, however we find it ironic that Deep Silver decided to offer this ‘hardcore’ difficulty mode as a DLC. And that’s precisely why we think that DLC is the cancer of the gaming world. Continue reading Metro: Last Light’s DLC Exploited – Ranger Mode Offers A New ‘Hardcore’ Difficulty→

Rockstar has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming sandbox game, Grand Theft Auto V. GTA V looks incredible (for an open-world title and comes real close to Watch Dogs), and we cannot imagine what this title will look like with an iCEnhancer mod. Rockstar has not confirmed yet the PC version of its title, however we are pretty sure that it will be released a couple of months after the release of the console versions. At least that’s our guess. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump! Continue reading Grand Theft Auto V – New Screenshots Released→
Nvidia’s Matthias Müller-Fischer has released a GDC 2013 tech demo, showcasing some impressive physics calculations and destruction effects. According to Matthias and Nvidia, this demo was running in real-time on a GTX680 with 30fps and shows off Real-Time Dynamic Fracture. It looks cool, though this technique does not currently support structures that can collapse due to their own weight. Still, Nvidia promised to support such a feature in the future. Enjoy the video after the jump! Continue reading Nvidia Releases An Impressive Massive Destruction Tech Demo (GDC 2013 Video)→
