Capcom has released the first update for the PC version of Resident Evil: Revelations. According to its changelog, this update adds two new resolutions, fixes a bug that affected users with 120Hz monitors and adds options to enable or disable both aim assist and mouse acceleration. Pearl Abyss has released a new trailer for its upcoming MMORPG, Black Desert Online. At first, Black Desert Online looks a bit weird, especially due to its aggressive LOD values. But then we get to see all the little details that Pearl Abyss has added to it, as well as the varied environments that are so gorgeously detailed. Add to this a nice lighting system and some highly detailed characters and you got yourself an MMORPG capable to rival those that are planned for next-gen platforms. Now this is a pleasant surprise. We all loved the first parts of the Resident Evil franchise. You know; fixed camera viewpoints in which players control the main characters in order to solve puzzles. So, meet everyone Thanatophobia; a PC game that is based on Resident Evil’s classic gameplay mechanics that looks more interesting than Resident Evil 5 & 6 combined. In fact, this is what most RE have been waiting for these past years and even though it does not evolve zombies (well, at least we don’t get that hint from its debut trailer), it’s more of a RE game than all of the latest parts of its series are. Precursor Games has released a behind the scenes video for Shadow Of The Eternals, the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness. In this video, the dev team talks about the CryEngine 3 and its features. In addition, we can clearly see that Precursor Games has locked the framerate of the game to 30s (though there are a lot of drops to 20s) and is using the DX11 API of CryEngine 3. Unfortunately, the team has not revealed the specs of the machine powering the demo. Still, it’s pretty cool so go ahead and take a look.
