Pantheonyx, the development team of TimeSplitters Rewind, has released two new videos of this CryEngine 3 powered project in which ‘Michael Hubicka’ discusses about a potential PS4 version, an estimated release date (expect it somewhere between mid and late 2014) and the features that the team plans to implement to it. Okay okay, let’s spill the beans; the development team is in talks with Crytek for a PS4 version of TimeSplitters Rewind (that will hit both PS4 and PC at the same time) and may feature cross-platform support. Crytek announced today the launch of the new CRYENGINE; an ever-evolving technology service, with always up to date access to the latest features in CRYENGINE for commercial game licensees. In short, CryEngine 3 (or 3.5) is no more, and the next-gen titles will be powered by its new version that will be simply called CRYENGINE. In addition, the company released today a new update for the free SDK that will take user feedback on board and remove some restrictions, which prevented users from working offline.
