Activision announced that the Uprising DLC pack for the PC and PS3 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be made available on May 16th. This pack includes four new multiplayer maps, plus “Mob of the Dead,” a bone-chilling new Zombies experience that takes players to the notorious prison island of Alcatraz. Several of Hollywood’s most iconic actors round out the cast of Prohibition-era mobsters, including Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, Chazz Palminteri and Joe Pantoliano to bring this horrifying adventure to life. Dead Island: Riptide releases tomorrow and we’ve prepared a Performance Analysis that covers – naturally – its PC version. Dead Island: Riptide is powered by the Chrome 5 Engine, an engine that powered Call of Juarez: The Cartel and the first Dead Island game. And since it’s the same engine, it will be interesting to compare the original Dead Island with Riptide, and see whether or not Techland has addressed some of its issues. Atlus has released a new gameplay trailer for ACE Team’s upcoming brawler title, Zeno Clash 2, showcasing some of the new features that have been added to it. Players will be able to aim punches this time around, and there are some new counter options for when enemies are stunned. Moreover, a new reverse kick has been added, and players will be able to launch enemies in the air and continue hitting them (similar to Tekken’s air jungles). Two days ago, we informed you about a spectacular video that showcased the latest PhysX real-time fluid physics. As we said back them, this new fluid simulation technique will be added in future versions of PhysX SDK or APEX modules and today we present you two new videos with those physics in full effect. As we’ve already said, this new digital water comes close to the real deal, though there is still room for improvements. It’s also pretty demanding as you can obviously see, meaning that we won’t be getting this kind of water anytime soon. Still, it’s a good tech and hopefully we’ll get games with this kind of fluids in next-next-generation games. Enjoy!
