3D artist ‘Esbjorn Nord‘ has created this industrial sci-fi environment in Unreal Engine 4, inspired by id Software’s upcoming DOOM game. According to what we’ve seen this far, this Unreal Engine 4 recreation comes really close to the environments found in the new DOOM, so kudos to Nord for accomplishing something like that. Star Wars – New footage from unannounced game surfaces
A new gameplay video for an unannounced Star Wars game has just surfaced. This video was shared by an Ex-EA employee, and showcases a game that looks like: 1) a real-time strategy game, b) an action RPG or c) a “tower” defense game. We don’t have enough information about this game, and it looks more like a mobile game (so be warned for low-quality visuals). DOOM and NVIDIA fans, here is something special for you today. NVIDIA and id Software showcased DOOM running on the brand newly announced GTX1080. Now what’s really interesting here is that DOOM was running using the Vulkan API. As you’d expect, the game was running really smooth. In fact, when id Software uncapped the framerate, the GTX1080 was able to push more than 100FPS (and in some cases it hits 195FPS or more). Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – New update enables unlimited frame-rate & adds V-Sync toggle
The Coalition has released a new update for the PC version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. According to the release notes, this patch adds a frame rate limit selector via which players can completely unlock the game’s framerate.
