Avalanche Studios, the team behind the Just Cause series, could have developed Star Wars: Battlefront 3

Christofer Sundberg, CEO of Avalanche Studios, has revealed that his studio could have developed Star Wars: Battlefront 3. Avalanche Studios would be working closely with Lucas Arts for this new part in the Battlefront series. This deal was offered ten years ago, however Avalanche passed on it as it was busy with the Just Cause series. VRMark Cyan Room DirectX 12 benchmark releases on November 22nd

Futuremark has announced that its new DirectX 12 VR benchmark, VRMark Cyan Room, will release on November 22nd. As its title suggests, this is a benchmarking application for measuring VR performance. Each benchmark runs on a fixed path, which makes it easy to repeat the test on other systems to compare performance, and players can run it without owning any VR headset. Fat Dog Games and MGP Studios announced Sand is the Soul; a unique mix of 2D side-scrolling beat’em up and action RPG. Sand is the Soul targets a Q2 2018 release and will feature over 20 game endings. This basically means that players’ actions will have a consequence to the story and its ending. Electronic Arts will invest on live services, will try to build live services on existing games so they can monetize them

Electronic Arts has been in the centre of criticism for a while. After closing down Visceral Games, the publisher claimed that its new Star Wars game was not an experience that players would want to come back to and enjoy for a long time to come. As such, the publisher decided to completely cancel that version and start from the beginning. And during the UBS Global Technology Conference 2017, Electronic Arts chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen revealed what most of us already suspected from that cancellation; that EA will now invest on live services.
