THQ Nordic and Bugbear have announced that Wreckfest 2 will be coming to Steam Early Access on March 20th. To celebrate this announcement, the teams have shared a new in-engine trailer that you can find below.
According to THQ Nordic, Bugbear has rebuilt its physics simulation engine to take full advantage of modern hardware. As such, Wreckfest 2 aims to feature even higher crash fidelity, more intricate component damage simulation and many more improvements across the board.
In Wreckfest 2, players will race in intense head-to-head fights on courses featuring high-speed circuits, crazy courses with obstacles & jumps, intersections and oncoming traffic, or go for demolition domination in derby mode.
At launch, the game will have these game modes: Racing, Derby and Multiplayer. During the Early Access phase, the devs will add a completely revamped career mode that promises to adapt to your individual playstyle. For online racers, there will be new skill-based matchmaking system and server queues coming as well.
During the Early Access phase, Bugbear will also add mod support. As such, players will be able to mess with this game by installing various mods from the Steam Workshop.
THQ Nordic and Bugbear have not revealed the game’s PC system requirements yet. As soon as we get our hands on them, I’ll be sure to share them with you.
Enjoy!
