Mihanikus Games has just announced a new story-driven FPS with elements from horror, survival and tower defense, called M.O.Z.I. To celebrate this announcement, the indie dev shared a gameplay trailer that you can find below.
In M.O.Z.I., you’ll escort a transport to one of the last human settlements, crossing dangerous, war-torn lands. You’ll need to gather food and batteries, fend off monsters, mutants, crazed humans, wild animals, and other threats. As you navigate this perilous journey and interact with your companion, you’ll uncover the mystery of your past and shape your future.
But what about the tower defense elements? Well, as the dev claimed, players will be able to set up turrets, secure the perimeter during stops, and fend off attacks while on the move.
To be honest, I don’t really know how someone can blend perfectly tower defense elements with a story-driven game. So, I am a bit skeptical about it. Plus, this is coming from a small team. So yeah, make sure to temper your expectations.
There is currently no ETA for when M.O.Z.I. will come out. For what it’s worth, the game does appear to have a cool art style. And hey. At least it’s not another roguelike game. Still, this is something that will appeal to a niche. And, since I despise tower defense and roguelike games, I’m not THAT interested in it. But then again, that’s me. You may find it cool.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
