2K Games and Firaxis Games announced today that Sid Meier’s Civilization V is free to play on Steam starting today until Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. PDT. As part of the celebration of the upcoming release of the expansion pack, Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Gods & Kings, the entire Civilization V franchise will be 75% off on Steam this weekend.
Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Gods & Kings can be pre-ordered starting at 1:00 p.m. PDT on Monday, May 28, 2012 and players who choose to take advantage of the free-to-play weekend can continue their quest for world domination and keep their progress intact by purchasing Civ V before Monday, May 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
