The Elder Scrolls Online hits 10 million players

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online has just surpassed 10 million players. In order to celebrate this milestone, Bethesda announced some new events and offers for this online title.

From now and until December 6, players will be able to take part in a massive sweepstakes competition and free-play periods. Moreover, there will be an in-game dungeon event for the chance to win a host of in-game and real-world prizes.

The Elder Scrolls Online brings the award-winning Elder Scrolls experience online for the first time. Using ZeniMax Online’s Megaserver technology, players will join one connected world with a built in social network. Furthermore, the Megaserver technology avoids the hassle of shard selection and makes The Elder Scrolls Online one of the most socially enabled games ever created.

It’s worth noting that the game does not feature any subscription model. Players will have to only buy the game in order to play it. Furthermore, Bethesda is offering the Gold Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online with a 50% discount. This offer will last until December 7th.

Those interested can get the game now or wait until a free period has been announced. Back in November 2016, Bethesda launched a free weekend for The Elder Scrolls Online. That free trial offered access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game. As such, we are pretty sure that the upcoming future free trial will also allow unrestrained access to the base game.

On November 30th, Bethesda will launch a new free week for The Elder Scrolls Online. According to the publisher, all new ESO accounts will be gifted 500 free crowns for use in the in-game Crown Store. As such, players can pick up some useful items such as potions, XP Scrolls, food, or an adorable pet. Moreover, those who’ve played ESO during previous free-play events will find that any previous characters and progression will remain.

Enjoy!
