Blizzard has announced that it’s working on a brand new survival game for PC and consoles. Although we don’t know much about this game, Blizzard is currently building a team for it.
As Blizzard stated:
“Blizzard is embarking on our next quest. We are going on a journey to a whole new universe, home to a brand-new survival game for PC and console. A place full of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived. A vast realm of possibility, waiting to be explored.”
And that’s it. Since Blizzard is currently recruiting developers, we can safely assume that this game won’t come out in the next two or three years. On the other hand, and since this is Blizzard, it may take more than four years. In other words, don’t expect to be playing this game anytime soon. Moreover, we can assume that it will release only on current-gen platforms.
