Editorial – DSOGaming turns 6 years old, will be covering AMD’s GPUs, mini giveaway [Winners Announced]

Man, it’s been six years since the launch of DSOGaming. Yeap, DSOGaming has just turned six years old and we are celebrating this with a mini giveaway. Oh, and as the title suggests… we’ll be covering AMD’s GPUs as we’ve purchased a Radeon RX 580. Praise the red sun!

In fact, we’ve included the Radeon RX 580 in our TEKKEN 7 GPU graph in order to see whether someone would notice it. It appears, however, that no one did. Still, we believe that it was a nice hidden surprise.

As we’ve already claimed, we wanted to cover AMD’s GPUs by getting the Vega graphics card. However, this GPU has been delayed and will be launched at the end of July. Not only that, but we don’t know how many units will be available worldwide in August. Therefore, we decided to get a Radeon RX 580, and we’ll get a Radeon RX Vega once it’s become widely available.

Now before continuing, and since I’ve heard various complaints about other websites, I want to make it crystal clear that DSOGaming will NEVER block its content to those using adblocks. We simply ask you to whitelist us. And if you don’t want to, you can still support us on Patreon. And if you don’t want to support us at all, that’s fine by us, though this may put DSOGaming into financial troubles. After all, all of our hardware parts are purchased by us and nothing is sponsored by vendors. Perhaps we are simply too bad at PR, even though we have a bigger fanbase than other websites that receive hardware parts from vendors, however that’s how things are. And then we have some publishers that have blacklisted us, meaning that we have to purchase a number of games ourselves.

But anyway, moving on to other subjects. As you may have noticed, we are a bit more active in our Comment section. We’ve banned some users, and we’ll continue monitoring that section. Just a heads up that we do not care about political or social views. This is a PC gaming website, so we don’t care if you don’t like Muslims, Americans, Africans, or whatever. So yeah, please try to stay civil in our Comment section.

In order to celebrate our sixth anniversary, we are giving away five games (Shadow Warrior 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, F1 2016, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Vanquish). All you have to do is comment below. Duplicate comments will be deleted. Winners will be announced this Sunday, June 11th, at 9PM UTC.

And that is that. DSOGaming will keep covering PC and only PC games. So here is to another six years of PC gaming goodness (why six you ask? Well… that’s because: 6+6=12 => 1×2 = 2 => john2. And as they say, the numbers never lie).

UPDATE:

Here are the winners (from oldest comment to newest. Some duplicate comments were deleted for the purposes of this giveaway):

71 – Shadow Warrior 2 – clippa
13 – Rise of the Tomb Raider – Geheimen

26 – Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Opapa

We’ve emailed the winners so that they can share with us their Steam usernames (so that we can send them their gifts)!
