BlackFoot Studios is a small “high speed, low drag” independent studio whose goal is to fill a void in the style of games many would call ‘Classic’ tactical squad based gaming; As well as develop gaming products that cater to the “thinking gamers” of the tactical first person shooter genre. The team will start pretty soon a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming tactical FPS title, Ground Branch, and they have released a teaser trailer for it. Square Enix has released a new trailer for the latest part of the Hitman franchise, Hitman: Absolution. In this video, the company showcases how agent 47 can deal with his enemies. Long story short, players will be able to take their enemies out silently or violently. Hitman: Absolution is slated for a 2012 release on current generation consoles and PC and looks quite promising. Let’s just hope that the AI will be sharp and challenging. Portal fans, here is your first look at the upcoming DLC of Portal 2. Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC is currently in beta phase and Valve has given the green light to all beta testers to release and share their videos from it. The following video from YouTube’s member ‘ValveTime’ is 5 minutes – in length- and shows how to use the Steam Workshop, find maps, download and rate them once you’ve completed it. In addition, you will also take a taste of some of those custom maps that are featured in the beta. TopWare Interactive has released today the official gameplay trailer of their upcoming pirate-themed game, Raven’s Cry. This video shows the first early gameplay footage of the pirate revenge tale. According to its press release, “Raven’s Cry” is the story of Christopher Raven, a lost soul haunted by his own inner demons as he hunts for the men who murdered his family in the 17th century Caribbean. Ubisoft has released the third class trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online and in this video, the company showcases the Specialist class. The Specialist is a master in electronic warfare and he’s equipped with Blackout, an energy boost which renders the enemy useless and disoriented as well as A.E.G.I.S which creates an impenetrable shield upon yourself and your surrounding teammate. Remember that MechWarrior mod for Crysis: Wars? What was that? You don’t? Shame on you. MechWarrior: Living Legends is a free, multiplayer mod for Crysis: Wars that offered us some truly amazing moments and was enough to quench our thirst for a MechWarrior game back in 2009 and 2010. The team behind it has been hard at work tweaking and improving it and has recently released its 0.5.6 version. Riot Games have released two new trailers for their free-to-play DOTA game, League of Legends. The first trailer is about the game’s Spectator Mode and according to the company, League of Legends’ Spectator Mode is currently entering its full release, with features like Spectate Your Friends, Featured Games, Timeshift Controls, and Directed Camera. Wolfire Games have released a new video in which David Rosen showcases the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David added an animation for swapping weapons from one hand to the other, added same-side sheathing animation and hooked up the cat scabbard as a weapon. Overgrowth looks lovely and we can’t wait till its alpha hits the ‘200’ mark (that was a joke mind you).
