Now this is something you all need to see. KBL1974 has informed us about his latest machinima movie, based on the Dark Knight (yeah, that’s Batman… but you already figured it out, didn’t you?). According to KBL1974, making this machinima was an arduous, but cathartic experience. This is also a tribute to Hans Zimmer, the great composer behind Batman: Begins’, The Dark Knight’s and The Dark Knight Rises’ scores. But anyway, this machinima looks cool as hell, so be sure to check it out! Continue reading GTAIV Dark Knight Persecution Is Perhaps The Best ‘GTA IV Batman’ Machinima You’ll Ever See→

There is no denying that Project CARS looks outstanding. However, a lot of our readers have been asking this simple question; why do the screenshots look better than the actual game and why all those fan-made trailers cannot come close to our featured screenshots? Yes, there is actually one and you can find it below. Yeap, time to enjoy the crisp textures and amazing details of Project CARS, in motion. Now this is really interesting. Reddit’s user ‘okitobi2’ shared an image of what supposedly a CryEngine 3 version of Minecraft could look like. Unfortunately for everyone, this picture does not seem like a mod or standalone project created with CryEngine 3’s SDK, but rather a real image that suggests how close a CryEngine 3-powered Minecraft game could look like. In other words, don’t expect it to look this good. And even though this might put off some people, another Redditor has shared a video from a game with a procedural world, powered by Crytek’s engine, that looks sweet as hell. This video shows indeed what a next-gen version of Minecraft could look like, even though we’d ask for textures of even higher quality. Enjoy! Continue reading This is what a next-generation version of Minecraft could look like→
It’s been a while since our last look on the Outerra Engine. In case you’re unaware of, Outerra is an engine that features a real scale planet Earth that can be explored and is created from real elevation data with resolution 90m where available, 1km resolution for oceans; data are dynamically downloaded as you go. The team behind Outerra has released a new video for it, showcasing two new features; adjustable time and time speed multiplier. It looks stunning for what it’s offering, though it suffers from the same blurry issues of Oblivion and Skyrim. Enjoy! Gas Powered Games and Chris Taylor have unveiled the first gameplay footage of their upcoming RPG/RTS hybrid, Wildman. According to Taylor, this is extremely early development footage using an older version of their 3D rendering technology with the lighting removed and placeholder models and textures. For those interested in the new tech, Wildman will use deferred rendering and will look significantly better. Wildman features a fixed isometric/top-down camera like Diablo, or Dungeon Siege minus the ability to rotate the camera, and uses standard PC action-RPG controls. In addition, Wildman won’t use any kind of DRM and will support both Offline and Online modes. Enjoy! Continue reading Gas Powered Games’ Wildman Gets Its First Early Footage→
We are pretty sure that a lot of WarCraft fans cannot wait for a new strategy game, based on that universe. Well, even though Blizzard has no such plans – at least for now – a team of modders is creating an unofficial sequel to Warcraft III that will be called, Warcraft: A New Dawn. This mod is still in early stage, but the team has released a new video for it that can be viewed below. It looks cool and promising, and since it’s being developed on Blizzard’s other game, we kind of think that it won’t receive a C&D letter. Enjoy! Hayssam Keilany has released three new screenshots from the Brigade engine, an engine for video games that instead of using rasterisation to render the image (like every other 3D game), it uses path tracing. In addition, Samuel Lapere has unveiled a video – and some new screenshots – from a new test, showing 1024 physics driven dynamic cubes in a street scene. Enjoy!
