Cloud Imperium has released the Hangar Module for its upcoming space game, Star Citizen. The Hangar Module is a standalone release that reveals where players will store their ships and collected items. Currently, there are three types of hangars. The size of your hangar is determined by the largest ship in players’ collection, and players will be able to upgrade it while playing the game. Rockstar has released a new trailer for GTA V and as you may have guessed, there is still no official word on a PC version. Well, we all know that it will eventually hit our platform at a later date, and earlier last week there were some rumors about a possible PS4 version. inXile entertainment has revealed a 20 minutes long trailer for its upcoming RPG, Wasteland 2, showcasing its Prison level. Wasteland 2 promises to feature a strong storyline in which players will have to make painful decisions, and a storyline that will allow for maximum re-playability. Activision has released the launch trailer of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, a new, digital download-only video game inspired by Nickelodeon’s new hit animated series. The game will be available later today on PC and X360, while it will be also hitting PS3 on September 25th. The team behind the Fallout: Lanius film has finally released its short film. Fallout: Lanius is a Fan Man Short Film centered on the Origin Story of Legate Lanius from Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout: Lanius was crowdfunded in late 2012 via Indiegogo for $19,000. The film was shot in Perth, Western Australia. The team has had a tremendous amount of support from both Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment, so kudos to both studios. Enjoy! Spiderweb Software announced that it’s creating Avadon 2: The Corruption, an all-new, indie fantasy role-playing game and the second title in their hit Avadon Trilogy. Pearl Abyss has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming MMORPG – that may also come to PS4 and Xbox One – Black Desert Online. Black Desert is said to be a large scale sandbox MMORPG that provides you a variety of unique experiences with spectacular action and battle, strategy-oriented castle attack, sophisticated simulation contents such as trade, NPC-hiring and real-estate management. The following trailer looks great – for an MMO – but suffers from a really low LOD system. Here is hoping that Pearl Abyss will give us the option to tweak this setting to our liking. Enjoy! YouTube’s member ‘KurtLoeffler’ has presented a video, showcasing his voxel cone tracing plugin for the Unity engine. According to KurtLoeffler, this technique approximates global illumination by maintaining a voxelized representation of the world in camera centered cascades (only 1 cascade shown here), and tracing cones through the volume based on surface normal and position to see what lighting is visible from that point.
