Pearl Abyss has released a new trailer for its upcoming MMORPG, Black Desert Online. At first, Black Desert Online looks a bit weird, especially due to its aggressive LOD values. But then we get to see all the little details that Pearl Abyss has added to it, as well as the varied environments that are so gorgeously detailed. Add to this a nice lighting system and some highly detailed characters and you got yourself an MMORPG capable to rival those that are planned for next-gen platforms. Black Desert Online will enter its closed beta phase in South Korea in 2013, and its European release is rumored for 2015. Enjoy! Shadow Of The Eternals – CryEngine 3 Walkthrough [Behind The Scenes] Video

Precursor Games has released a behind the scenes video for Shadow Of The Eternals, the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness. In this video, the dev team talks about the CryEngine 3 and its features. In addition, we can clearly see that Precursor Games has locked the framerate of the game to 30s (though there are a lot of drops to 20s) and is using the DX11 API of CryEngine 3. Unfortunately, the team has not revealed the specs of the machine powering the demo. Still, it’s pretty cool so go ahead and take a look. It’s been almost a year since our last look on the Euclideon ‘Unlimited Detail’ engine. Unfortunately, the team has not come up with a game yet, however it has released a new tech video for this particular engine. As the team claims, it has spent the last year building technology that overcomes all the loading and memory problems that happen when you use terabytes in places where people would normally use megabytes, and this video is the end result of those efforts. EA Sports Showcases Its Next-Gen Engine – Ignite Engine Official Trailer

EA Sports has showcased its next-gen engine during Microsoft’s Xbox One event, and has just released the trailer for this brand new engine. According to EA Sports, games that will be powered by the Ignite engine will feel more ‘alive’ with Human Intelligence, True Player Motion, and Living Worlds. EA Sports did not tag PC for this engine, so here is hoping the company won’t pull another ‘Fifa old-gen version’ on us. And if it does… well… you better stop supporting them even when it decides to gain the ‘trust’ of PC gamers in the future. We’ve contacted EA Sports, so stay tuned for more.
