Risen 2: Dark Waters enters closed beta phase in February 20th

Great news for all Risen fans, as Risen 2: Dark Waters’ closed beta will go live on February 20th. Those who purchased the European Collector’s Edition of the first Risen will surely remember that an access code for a “beta test” for the next game by Piranha Bytes was part of that box. Paradox Interactive has announced that their latest strategy game, Crusader Kings II, is now available to major digital distribution platforms. To celebrate it, the company released the game’s launch trailer that can be viewed after the jump. Unstoppable Gorg gets a PC/Mac demo

Futuremark has just informed us about the PC and Mac demo of their action-oriented tower defense game, Unstoppable Gorg. The demo comes with 4 levels from the full game (including the movies of course), corresponding challenges and Arcade mode. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – 2 Million Mods Downloaded via the Skyrim Workshop

ZeniMax announced today that the Creation Kit, a free tool that allows PC players to create their own custom content for Bethesda’s  The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has been enthusiastically received by PC gamers who have been uploading, downloading, and installing custom content through the Skyrim Workshop on Steam. Within 3 days of the release of the Creation Kit, gamers have downloaded more than 2 million mods via the Skryim Workshop. More than 2,500 mods have been published by the gaming community, all of which are available for free. Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.1.3 Is Now Live

BioWare and Electronic Arts have released the latest update for their Star Wars MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. With this latest version of SWTOR, players are no longer occasionally disconnected from the game when interacting with a mailbox, while mouse click functionality has been improved. Battlefield 3 PC minor update introduces Punkbuster issue, DICE is working on it

That’s hilarious. A new update for the PC version of Battlefield 3 has rolled out and guess what; it comes with that awful ‘Corrupted File/Memory [9808096]’ issue that was introduced some months ago. Since this morning, a lot of PC gamers have been kicked/banned from the public servers due to that issue, while others had to manually update Punkbuster in order to play the game. Brain Candy has released the first alpha video for their upcoming strategy title, Fray, that shows off the game’s Paris level available in the Alpha, as well as some gameplay. 2 Dawn Games has released a dev diary video for their upcoming MP vehicular FPS game, Ravaged. Ravaged is a multiplayer only first-person shooter game with vehicles, team objectives and skill-based gameplay. Set upon a post-apocalyptic earth devastated by natural disasters caused by the sun’s solar flares, Ravaged chronicles the struggle between the “Resistance” and the “Scavengers” as they fight one another to gain an upper hand in an ongoing war for survival, territory and resources. Skyrim Realistic Water Textures and Terrain v2.0 Preview Video; mod coming next week

Isoku, creator of Realistic Water Textures has posted a preview video of his next update for his mod which has been completely remade in the Creation Kit. This mod is really remarkable and its latest version comes with some interesting additions and fixes.
