Bethesda revealed something interesting in their blog a few hours ago. Remember those cool kill cams that were showcased in Skyrim Jam? Well, according to a post about the new version of Skyrim Beta Patch, kill cams will be added to ranged combat and magic. Bethesda went ahead and disabled the post, obviously because the update is not yet available on Steam. Or perhaps they posted this information too soon? Ubisoft has just revealed the debut trailer of Assassin’s Creed III. According to the company, this is in-engine footage, meaning that it’s not CG or anything like that. This is probably the image fidelity we’ll get, although the camera angles will obviously be different. EA, BioWare and LucasArts today revealed Game Update 1.2 —Legacy. Going live in April 2012, Legacy will introduce new high level group content and community-requested features including PvP Warzone Rankings and Guild Banks, along with enhancements to the game’s innovative Legacy system. This update also provides improved UI customization as well as gameplay fixes and the latest optimizations to combat balance. Also today, BioWare announced Star Wars: The Old Republic’s “Friends Trial” program, allowing subscribers to invite as many as three of their friends for a seven-day free game trial. THQ today announced that all pre-orders of Darksiders II on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, will receive a complimentary upgrade to the Limited Edition. The Darksiders II Limited Edition will include the standard retail game along with a unique code allowing the purchaser the opportunity to download the game’s first single player downloadable content pack, Argul’s Tomb for free once it becomes available. Capcom has released some brand new screenshots for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. These new screenshots show off one of the game’s online competitive multiplayer modes, the Nemesis Mode. Bohemia has released the RC of their upcoming Patch 1.04 for Take On Helicopters. This patch comes with FXAA and SMAA support, a Massive flight model upgrade, Time Trial functionality improvements and a Bonus Light helicopter Cougar livery. In addition, this patch is DRM-free for users of legitimate installations. As with most beta/RC patches, it is recommended to back up your full installation folder and profile folder first. So back it up guys because you will not be able to rollback to previous version, and upgrading to the final 1.04 patch may not be possible. You can view the entire changelog after the jump.
