And things get worse and worse for Dead Space 3. Not only will this third part of Visceral Games’ horror franchise be more action oriented, but it has also been confirmed that the game will feature a cover system and universal ammo. Yeap, universal ammo: the one thing that destroyed the whole Deus Ex: Invisible War experience. Way to go EA. As we’ve said countless of times, we love indie games and we really respect indie devs. And we are delighted to present you today Underrail, an indie isometric RPG that is created by Dejan Radisic. Underrail focuses on combat and exploration and has a Fallout/Syndicate feel to it. And let us tell you that we love Underrail’s artistic style and simplistic 2D graphics. After all, a game does not have to feature one hell of special effects in order to be appealing. Continue reading PC gamers, meet Underrail; an indie isometric RPG that is created by a single person→
There was a lot of debate – at Crytek’s modding forum – about whether CryEngine 3 was better than 2 or not. Well, as we said a lot of times, CryEngine 3 can do all things that 2 could, and more. The lighting – in particular – is way better and more polished in CryEnine 3. Not only that, but CryEngine 3 features some new features like Global illumination that were not present in CryEngine 2. But anyway, today we bring you some new screenshots from the works of Braxer, iSqueezee, EliteGhost, rGOt, NeoSephiroth, Tidius_, Synce, TheSickness and blackhorizon. Enjoy! We can’t be the only ones wondering how a multiplayer mode would look like in Just Cause 2, right? Well, good news – if you had that question in the back of your head too – as the team behind Just Cause 2’s Multiplayer mod has released some new information about it, as well as a video from its latest build. As the team revealed, over the coming months, their aim is to polish the current build to a state that can be released to the public. Modder ‘B1gBadDaddy’ released an interesting mod for Skyrim. This mod, called ‘Hunting in Skyrim’, introduces a Hunting class to the game that adds better hunting prices, new perks, and more. We should note that this mod is still a work in progress, and hopefully will be expanded to include quests and a guild. Or at least that is B1gBadDaddy’s vision about it. Continue reading The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Hunting class introduced via a mod→
Mr Kees de Koning created an interesting machinima for Battlefield 3 that involves a race with lots of explosions. This machinima is basically a cross between Blur/Split Second and Battlefield 3. And after watching it, you’ll definitely miss the mod tools that were released for Battlefield 2 and are nowhere to be found in Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3’s fanbase is huge and there is a huge potential for some mind-blowing mods or total conversions. Unfortunately though, DICE thought otherwise. And no, that ‘Frostbite 2 is too complicated for modders’ thing is the worst excuse we’ve ever heard. Enjoy the video! Continue reading This Battlefield 3 Machinima makes us wish for some BF3 mod tools→
A couple of months (or years) ago, Square Enix’s classic 3D Final Fantasy games appeared on Steam’s registry. As always, most of us thought that it was a matter of time before they’d hit Valve’s distribution service but unfortunately, they have not appeared yet. All hope seemed lost, however, yesterday Square Enix registered a new domain called FinalFantasyViiPC.com. Continue reading Square Enix registers FinalFantasyViiPC.com→
The Dark Eye – Chains of Satinav is an interesting 2D adventure game that has just been released. As with most games, it contains some easter eggs and holy cow at that sex scene. That was definitely something we had not expected to see, so kudos to Daedalic. It doesn’t really show much flesh, but that is irrelevant. Enjoy and special thanks to YouTube’s member ‘kenah7’ for capturing it! Continue reading The Dark Eye – Chains of Satinav – Sex Scene Easter Egg→
