Nitronic Rush sequel announced – Kickstarter launched – blends together Trials Evolution, Rush 2049, Halo and Tron

Refract Studios, a new studio formed from developers behind the student PC racing game Nitronic Rush, have announced that they are developing a spiritual successor to Nitronic Rush called Distance. In short, it’s Trials Evolution + Rush 2049 + Halo + Tron. The game takes the intense action of arcade racing and fuses it with the exploration of an atmospheric world. You control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly to survive in a chaotic and twisted city. Graphics whores, time to get a glimpse at a possible next-generation future (or a next-next-generation future as we are pretty sure that next-gen platforms won’t be able to run these pre-rendered tech videos in real-time). Digital Extremes’ Free-To-Play Third-Person Action Game ‘Warframe’ Enters Closed Beta Phase

Get ready everyone because this is what a lot of you have been waiting for. Digital Extremes has just informed us about the beginning of the Warframe Closed Beta, meaning that the new Free-to-play, sci-fi action game – from the developers behind Unreal, Dark Sector and The Darkness II – is now in its testing phase. Players will be added to the Closed Beta incrementally over the next several weeks to help improve the game and infrastructure in preparation for the official launch of the Open Beta this winter. Chris Roberts’ Star Citizen hits its Kickstarter goal of $500K in five days, new details unveiled

Good news for all PC space fans, as Cris Roberts’ Star Citizen has hit its Kickstarter goal and managed to raise $500K in five days. What this obviously means is that the game will be funded, and there are 26 days left for this Kickstarter campaign. Star Citizen is a PC exclusive space combat game that – according to Chris Roberts himself – is the vision he had for Freelancer (but in a different universe with a more realistic gritty tone). F1 Race Stars – New Screenshots & Debut Gameplay Trailer

Codemasters has released today its first gameplay trailer – and a new set of screenshots – for F1 RACE STARS, the fast-to-the-fun arcade racing game featuring official FORMULA ONE cars, teams and circuits as they’ve never been seen before. According to the publisher, the video shows how each circuit in the game turns into a fantastical stage of FORMULA ONE fun.
