Modder ‘Cobalt-57’ has announced that Half-Life Absolute Zero will release on February 12th, 2019. In case you weren’t aware of, Half-Life: Absolute Zero is a mod dedicated to recreating the pre-release versions of Half-Life. The team aims to recreate the art-style and chapters featured off in Half-Life builds from early to mid 1998, featuring all the chapters, monsters and weapons that never made it into the final build. Reshade 4.0 is now available for download, features rewritten ReShade FX compiler from ground up
Crosire has released a brand new version of Reshade, Reshade 4.0. For Reshade 4.0, crosire rewrote ReShade FX compiler from the ground up to generate SSA code making it fully standalone, blazing fast, and featuring much better error recovery. What’s really cool here though is that this compiler paves the future for Vulkan support (so hopefully we’ll also get support for DX12?). AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.11.2 is now available, optimized for Battlefield 5
AMD has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, this driver adds support for Battlefield 5. Unfortunately, AMD did not provide any percentage improvements over the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.11.1 (which was also listed as a driver that was optimized for DICE’s shooter). Fallout 76 now supports higher/unlocked framerates, physics no longer tied to framerate
As we’ve already reported, Bethesda released today the first post-launch update for Fallout 76. Now while the release notes did not mention anything about it, we can confirm that Bethesda has unlocked the framerate, meaning that PC gamers can get higher framerates than 60fps. Capcom has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Mega Man 11
Now that’s the spirit. When it was originally released, Mega Man 11 was protected by the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. However, earlier today CODEX was able to crack the game and as a result of that, Capcom has decided to completely remove Denuvo from its game. According to the developers, this new DX12 version changes the way some parts of the game engine work, and particularly the graphics code. Bethesda has released the first post-launch update for Fallout 76. According to the release notes, this first patch addresses several performance issues and resolves hitches during gameplay. Moreover, the game client and servers have received additional stability improvements so theoretically the game should be more stable now.
