PC gamers and Bungie fans, get ready because we have the first info for Destiny, Bungie’s upcoming MMO that will be published by Activision. According to a court report, Bungie is developing a assively multiplayer style, sci-fantasy action shooter series codenamed ‘Destiny’ with expansion packs codenamed ‘Comet’. Destiny will see four games that are slated for release in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, as well as four expansion packs that are planned for a 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020 respectively. Remember when we claimed that Devil May Cry would be coming to the PC? Well, we were right as Capcom has officially unveiled that the game will hit our beloved platform in 2013, after the release of its console version. Not only that, but the game’s development is ‘well underway’, meaning that Capcom is not waiting to finish the console version before starting developing it, which was the case with SSF4: AE. According to the press release, the game is developed by Ninja Theory and this could be the first PC title from this company, so it will be interesting to see how it will perform and whether it will be a polished port or not. Good news for Portal 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players as Valve has released new updates for them. Portal 2’s update comes with various optimizations and rendering improvements for the Puzzle Maker, better item handle interactions and better progress indication for compiling puzzles. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s update, on the other hand, features updated weapons based on performance metrics, bot behavior has been adjusted to fix the “antline” looking behavior and player spawns have been added to all maps to support up to 30 players. DICE’s Rendering Architect, Johan Andersson, has revealed that we’ll get some Frostbite 2 powered games in 2013 that will require a 64-bit OS. This basically means that we’ll get games that will require more than 2GB of RAM. Fair enough, we’ve been stuck in our 32-bit OS for quite sometime. The most interesting thing about Andersson’s tweeted message though – and what others failed to realize – is that this could very well be a hint for next-generation consoles. Could the next Playstation and Xbox hit stores next year? DICE seems to believe so. THQ has stated that a live-action short film for Metro: Last Light will be released on May 24th and today, the company has revealed the teaser trailer for it.
