Techland has revealed its latest project, called Project Hell. Project Hell started as an internal weapon mod for Dead Island, but quickly became something more than that. There is currently a small team inside Techland that is working on it, and a set of screenshots got released a couple of days ago. Project Hell is said to be a first person, hack n slash game, that is currently being developed exclusively for the PC. Now here is something interesting. Tyrannicon has created and uploaded the 5th video in the Great Battles of Skyrim series that can be viewed below. In this new video, the Dawnguard finally have Auriels Bow, and now they march to Castle Volkihar to find Lord Harkon. This is among the best Skyrim machinima movies and in case you didn’t know, Tyrannicon was behind the ‘Skyrim 300’ and the Skyrim Bikini Contest that were featured in DSOG. dtp Entertainment has released a new set of screenshots – as well as a new trailer – for its upcoming action RPG, Blood Knights. Blood Nights is a hack’n’slay that provides a thrilling game experience set during the time of an ancient war between men and vampires. It’s been a while since our last look on this amazing indie action-adventure game. Wolfire Games has released a new trailer for Overgrowth, in which David Rosen showcases the changes that have been made to its latest alpha build. Overgrowth might feature an inventory system, as players can currently attach non-weapon gear (20 gear attachment slots were added to the game in this latest alpha build). In addition, David fixed a problem with enemies drawing non-weapon items when threatened. Overgrowth looks and plays great, though it has been in alpha stage for quite a while. Burian Media Enterprises announced the Medieval Fantasy FPS Game “Dark Shadows – Army of Evil”, an indie-PC-Only SP first-person title, in which the player takes on the role of a knight. According to its press release, the Medieval fantasy game has 19 levels of different areas and is showing gothic architectures and is scheduled for a September release. Epic Games has released the SIGGRAPH 2012 tech presentation of Unreal Engine 4 and as you may have guessed, this presentation includes some new screenshots from Epic’s next-generation engine. Below, you can find screenshots that showcase Interactive Indirect Illumination and Ambient Occlusion Using Voxel Cone Tracing, Voxel Lighting, Area Light Specular, IB Lens Flares, Reflections, Shadows that receive Translucency, Volumetric direct and indirect lighting, and one million particles on screen. In addition, the presentation claims that the Elemental Tech Demo was running on a single GTX680 at 1080p with 30fps (and not 60fps as we were told back in E3). Enjoy! Undead Labs has released a brief video that showcases how players can set up bases in State of Decay. This footage also reveals – for the first time – a menu, as well asthe game’s HUD. State of Decay was originally known as Class3 and is a zombie game that is powered by CryEngine 3. A couple of days ago, KOTOR 2 was released on Steam. A lot of speculation arose and players began wondering whether or not Lucas Arts was heating things up for a KOTOR 3 announcement. Let’s not forget that a bundle of KOTOR 1 & 2 is also available, as it launched back on July 14th. And although we don’t know whether Lucas Arts has plans for a KOTOR 3, we do know that Obsidian Entertainment would love to work on such a game. Now this is a really promising mod for Borderlands. YouTube’s member ‘nolahornets394’ has released an interesting mod for Borderlands, called PokeBL. As the name suggests, players can capture animals with this mod and ‘call’ them while they’re fighting. This package includes custom pokeball grenade mods for 10 different Skag variants, with the “Mutt” seen in the following video being a Corrosive/Fire/Shock hybrid skag.
