Futuremark has released a new trailer for its upcoming benchmark tool, 3D Mark. Fire Strike is the company’s new showcase DirectX 11 benchmark designed for high-performance gaming PCs. Cameron Manwaring has informed us about a new live-action short film for Far Cry 3, that was made by Devin Graham, Leanna Pareja, Jacob Schwarz, and Clint Jones. It’s a great video, though the first-person perspective cannot come close to the one made by FreddieW. 2K Games and Irrational Games have officially unveiled the packshot of Bioshock: Infinite and in all seriousness, it looks awful. I mean, this packshot is better suited for a game like Far Cry 3 and not Bioshock. Come on, take a look at it. No Elizabeth at all in the cover? Sure thing, Irrational Games wants to move away from Elizabeth’s impressive breast, but this packshot is a generic as it can possibly get. SEGA has unveiled a new trailer for Double Fine’s The Cave, a 2D perspective puzzle adventure platform with 3D visuals. The game draws inspiration from Gilbert’s earlier work on PC adventure games and looks quite interesting. Nvidia has released a new bera driver for its GPUs, the GeForce 310.64. According to its release notes, this driver offers up to 38% faster performance in Far Cry 3. In addition, these drivers also include the previously released optimizations for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin’s Creed III, providing up to 26% faster performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and up to 18% faster performance in Assassin’s Creed III, as well as smooth, shimmer-free graphics with TXAA antialiasing in both games. Great news for all Deus Ex fans, as the team behind New Vision has released its final version. In case you were unaware of, New Vision is a project that overhauls the environmental textures of ION Storm’s classic first-person shooter / RPG title. Those interested can download it from here or here. What’s also great here is that another team has released a beta version of the HDTP mod for Deus Ex.
