Konami promises that Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 PC will be similar to current-gen console versions

Konami has just announced that the next iteration of its Pro Evolution Soccer series will be released on September 14th. Yeap, another year, another PES. However, Konami has stated that the PC version will finally receive some additional love, and will be similar to current-gen consoles.

As Konami stated, the PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will be “to the standard of the leading console iterations“. In other words, the PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will be similar to the current-gen console version that will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

Konami has also released two screenshots from Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 that can be viewed below.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will feature a new user interface, contextual shielding, improved dribbling and ball control, reworked set pieces and better lighting effects. The game will still be powered by the FOX Engine.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. They purposefully did that to downgrade the pc in the best when they know the pc is fully capable of handle the current version of PES. That notion i will never support PES. Thats why i will support fifa with respect

  2. Glad they are finally taking care of the issue apparently but…yeaa…..as always, Konami is way behind. these days AAA companies talk about how their games on PC are not a port, but a PC game. not saying they are necessarily telling the truth, but at least they know that “similar to current gen console” is just the bare minimum. of course some still have the nerve to release unoptimized or “hybrid” games, but they can’t get away with it that easily anymore thanks to Steam refunds and reviews.

  3. PES loses to FIFA, so Konami should do everything to make customers like them. And yet, they’re treating PC gamers like beggars.

  4. I note with some amusement that Konami aren’t bothering to release PES 2018 on Nintendo Switch but they’re still catering to PS3 and Xbox 360.

  5. F’ing Konami and it’s FIFA wannabe. I bet they even slap Denuvo on it, even though no one will pirate it, yet alone buy it.
