CCP has announced that a new first-person shooter game, set in the universe of DUST 514 and EVE: Online, is currently under development. This game is being developed by the Shanghai studio CCP Rouge, will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will be most probably officially revealed during the EVE Fanfest on April 21st.
As CCP’s Community Manager wrote on the official forum:
“CCP’s development team in Shanghai has been working on a prototype for a first-person shooter for PC with the goal of building a great FPS set in our sci-fi universe of New Eden (the universe in which EVE Online, DUST 514, EVE: Valkyrie, and Gunjack are set). Their experience is being utilized to build a new game from scratch using Unreal Engine 4 while harnessing all our learnings from DUST 514.”
According to CCP, this first-person shooter is in many ways an evolution of Project Legion, the concept CCP announced at EVE Fanfest 2014, but without the limitations of technical debt and development paths.
CCP’s Community Manager concluded:
“This new project is still in an early phase of production, and we feel like we’re on the right track and plan to give an update at EVE Fanfest on April 21st as a part of the free livestream of the event. Since this new game will be different from DUST 514 (although keeping many of its great parts), we will provide tiered recognition rewards to our loyal DUST customers, details to be announced.”

If its another console shooter then i don’t care
Doubtful, ought to be PC-Exclusive this time, the entire idea of the Unreal 3-powered Project Legion was to bring DUST to PC in a “native” form.
Even if they do want to expand back into the PS Family (PS3 DUST 514 is being shut down soon), they’d most likely do the PS4 Port afterwards – assuming Sony doesn’t have a contract clause, but I doubt it.
ANOTHER CRAPPY FPS? Gonna flop like DUST…. Remember these are the same clowns who cancelled the new VTM game…..
A CCP first person shooter that’s not on a console; uhm yes please.
Played Dust 514 on PS3…just don’t expect too much from this.
Please be faster than Titanfall. Otherwise, yawn. Slow FPS players already have CSGO, RO2, BF4 and R6Siege, roughly in that order. They can also play a new COD every year.
CCP need to get their heads out of their b*tts and start making some decent games. This whole Dust 514 console experience didn’t worked out so well, Legion is canceled, WoD is canceled, and Eve Online slowly but surely loses its subscribers.
