The team behind the Nintendo Switch emulator, Yuzu, has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is fully playable at 4K/60fps. Now what’s crucial here is that the emulator no longer needs any hacks to play it. All you have to do is download Yuzu from its official website and you’ll be good to go.

Since this is an official announcement, we can safely assume that the whole game is playable. Thus, PC gamers can play this new Zelda game from start to finish.
As we’ve already showcased, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can run with 4K/60fps on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. Furthermore, PC gamers can push its resolution even further. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 can also play the game at 8K. Not only that but according to reports, v3 of the 60fps patch fixes the sped-up cut-scene issues.
You can download the latest version of Yuzu from here. And, as always, we won’t allow any links to the game’s ROM file. By now, most of you will be able to find it by simply searching the Internet.

You can’t play the game 4k/60 fps WITHOUT HACKS because the game has a 30 fps cap from nintendo.The tweet says you can now RUN the game full speed (30fps) without hacks. Before this update the game didn’t run at all without hacks on yuzu.
Came here to say this. Dude literally states that all you need to do is download the emulator and you’re good to go.
You still need a hack to enable 60 fps and it’s currently broken for many people. 30 fps hack works perfect, but still a hack is needed, otherwise you’re stuck at 20 fps.

Ryujinx > Yuzu… Yuzu has been full of rewrites recently. Ryu is accurate and less hacky.
It plays ten times better on my computer with increased resolution and frame rate than it does on my switch lite.

who the hell cares about mobile gaming? 12 years olds? Normal adults drive cars and have no time to play mobile games, hell in USA some peeps never see public transport after they turn 16, even if they cant afford a real car yet and drive some sort of 200$ chunk of metal on wheels, its still a Car and better then taking a bus.
There are tons of reasons why people still like handheld gaming. I prefer it because I can play at work and I don’t have to be tethered to one location when playing at home. I like being able to lounge on the couch with my wife as I play, and she watches TV or plays a game on the TV. I don’t want to spend my evening sitting at my computer desk alone.
LOL what? Gaming is a solitary experience by itself, you need to pay attention to what you do, talk to NPCs and so on.
If you play while she watches TV, one of you has to wear headphones, that will usually be you, so sitting besides her is waste of time and a downgrade of gaming, you have wife time and you have game time and you have car time, but not mixed

I quit smocking over 15 years ago, as far as i remember it takes no longer then 4 minutes on easy mode with cup of coffee and under 1 minute if you in hurry.

only PSP when it came out i played some, it had unique games [GoW series for PSP], then Vita also had couple must haves and for some reason i decided to play MGS2/3 remake on vita over PS3, i gamed at home of course.
I have 3DS XL, switch, DS XL , DS, My Day1 vita oled for vita games and Vita Slim LCD for PSP games, all systems hacked and with all the best games, yet somehow i dont use them, there is nothing to win me over over gaming on PC or PS5 exlcusive

i never used an emulator tbh..nor did i ever pirated a game. But i want to try this for the first time in my life.

Beware: When downloading pirated games, ALWAYS use a VPN. when i pirated smash bros, i got a copywrite DMCA sent to my email from my internet provider.

I pay them money, i want to do whatever i want with my connection, what kind of world we live that we cant use our internet the way we want, ill do it on purpose just to annoy them with DMCAs they get.

They send you the email because they required by law, it says “please delete the file” thats it.
When you buy an internet connection, you accept the terms of service that your ISP provides, meaning we cannot do whatever we want, but rather use their service under their terms.
That’s why they can sue you and easily win the case.

Also you can use Russian torrents, they the best in quality, if you use a popular one, they have strict laws, no ads, no viruses etc, there is big community and they have serious law and admins from around the world that do their jobs, its free.

Its need a prerequisite before you can start using ryujinx or yuzu, like firmware file also prod and title keys file that you can get from your own hacked Switch (of course nothing will hold you to venture on other sources). The online feature will also not work as far as i know. Still I will called it easy because I have use many emulators since aeon ago and it prerequisite didnt surprised me at all (the only one left me baffled to setup for some time was RetroArch that change my mindset regarding to emulator back in their first arrival). But if you coming from console space then yeah, it will seems complicated at first.

1 week in and i’m already playing it at 32:9 at a near solid 60fps at 4K. Switch hardware is a joke. Reminds me of playing on my ps1 in the 90’s and not caring about FPS or resolution. Switch hardware is like playing a 90’s console in 2023… Time for an update nintendo!

I’m playing it now and it has lots of freezes on my gaming rig.
(My GPU is a RTX 3070, which is supposed to be good enough)
It’s barely playable, really.
On a side note, massively overrated boring childish game.
