The SourceVR Mod Team has announced its plans to release a VR Mod for Half-Life 2: Episode One in Q1 2023. In order to celebrate it, the team has also shared a trailer that you can find below.
As its description reads:
“Half-Life 2: VR Mod – Episode One is a community-made adaptation of Valve’s episodic continuation of Half-Life 2, transformed into a fully roomscale Virtual Reality experience.”
As always, the mod will require the original Half-Life 2: Episode One on Steam.
Lastly, you can download the VR Mod for the main HL2 game from here.
Enjoy the trailer, and stay tuned for more!

I was playing HL2VR a couple of nights ago. Really enjoy it. The airboat was crazy in VR. Controls were a bit wonky, but still loads of fun. Hopefully episodes 1 and 2 will be even more awesome once they are ready.
Oh, and I’d love to get to play the FakeFactory Cinematic Mod in VR. That would be absolutely awesome.
Will a 1060 6GB be sufficient to comfortably play the HL2 VR mod?
Probably, highly likely. First gen VR headsets required GTX 970 minimum.
Yeah it should be fine.
I truly appreciate your technique of writing a blog. I added it to my bookmark site list and will
naturally like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth on the other hand I will surely come again again.
Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!
