This Fallout New Vegas Mod completely overhauls its weather system

Modders ‘doodlez’ ‘L00’ ‘marcurios’ and ‘fadingsignal’ have released a new mod for Fallout New Vegas that aims to overhaul its weather system. As its description reads, True Weathers completely overhauls the weather system in The Capital Wasteland, The Pitt, Anchorage, and Point Lookout, yet stays true to the original mood of the game.

All weathers are completely new and realistic. At the same time, though, they pull elements from the original weather settings to match their motifs.

True Weathers has dynamic cloud shadows to simulate a more advanced weather system. Furthermore, it packs interior rain sounds and new exterior rain sounds. Players can also expect realistic skies and improved textures. And finally, you can configure the night brightness to control how you would like your nights to be.

You can download this mod from here.

Speaking of Fallout New Vegas, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods. Fallout: Broken CityFallout Van buren Remake, and Star Wars Open Worlds are three cool DLC-sized fan expansions. You can also download play two other fan expansions, Fallout New California and Fallout The Frontier. Moreover, this HD Texture Pack overhauls all of the game’s landscape textures. And lastly, there is this cool Zombies Mod and this Android Race Mod.

Have fun!

  1. You should probably mention that this is a mod for TTW (Tale of Two Wastelands), which is a total conversion mod for Fallout New Vegas that integrates the content from Fallout 3 and its DLC into Fallout New Vegas, and that TTW is required for this weather mod to work.

Currently your article talks about a mod for Fallout New Vegas, and then starts talking about how the mod overhauls the weather in locations exclusive to Fallout 3 without mentioning TTW or how locations from Fallout 3 can appear in Fallout New Vegas.

    1. Probably, but many have additional requirements, and it’s just easier to install things with a mod manager like Vortex. Admittedly Vortex has a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it you’ll find it’s actually easier to use than installing things by hand.
