Zelda Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine

This Zelda: Ocarina of Time HD Remake in Unreal Engine is mind-blowing

RwanLink has released an amazing real-time cinematic video of his fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine. This fan project shows what a modern-day fan remake of this classic N64 Zelda game could look like.

Going into more details, RwanLink spent more than 300 hours creating this video. In order to capture this footage, he used an NVIDIA GeForce GTX960 with 12GB of RAM. Unfortunately, RwanLink did not specify the CPU he used.

The end result is amazing and you should definitely give it a go. My only gripe is with Link’s 3D model. It looks a bit weird. In my opinion, Link’s 3D model in CryZENx’s HD remake of Ocarina of Time looks better. Apart from this nitpick, RwanLink’s remake looks really impressive.

Speaking of Zelda games in Unreal Engine, I also suggest taking a look at this fan remake of The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. Naturally, you can also download CryZENx’s Ocarina of Time fan remake.

Lastly, you can find below more HD fan remakes of various games in Unreal Engine. You can take a look at the Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness Fan Remake. There is also a Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II Remake, an amazing Batman 1989 fan video, and a stunning Final Fantasy X Fan Remake. There’s also a playable demo of Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub-Zero Fan Remake.

Enjoy!

  1. Stop calling these HD remakes. It is like every one of these you promote a fkn fan video. Not a game, not a remake project. This will never be anything more than a show reel project.
No one here cares! These are not PC games. These are not PC game projects, and they have no place on a site like this. These belong on a retro site, or a site dedicated to 3D design or film-making.
    We dont care!

    1. I got it when it first came out and while I didn’t have the opportunity to complete it, I had started and got more than halfway through it several times. I finally beat it in 2018 and.. it holds up great! It actually aged very well. Worst offense might be the camera or controls, but I played the original. The worst in the series: Majora’s Mask? Burn every copy of that game in existence.

      1. Wow, I completed it on N64 in 1998 and I wasn’t a pc gamer back then. Now things are a bit different 🙂

        1. The excitement I had back then for 3D graphics being more and more a place in our arcades and then living rooms… It makes me happy that I got to experience that.

      2. Haha. Well, I mean, MM is a little more mainline and I’ve never played the DS games, but yeah.. I hate that damn game with a passion.
