EA Motive may be working on Dead Space Remake

Some new rumors surfaced earlier this week, suggesting that EA Motive is working on a new Dead Space game. And, according to Gematsu, this Dead Space game will be a reimagining of the series.

In short, we are not looking at Dead Space 4 but rather Dead Space Remake, though I’m certain it won’t contain the word “Remake”. Still, a re-imagining of the first games/games is still a remake. It may not be a faithful remake, but it will be a remake.

Electronic Arts and EA Motive plan to reveal this new Dead Space game at EA Play on July 22nd.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Part of EA Motive is the guys that made Mass Effect: Andromeda when EA shut down Bioware Montreal and merged them with EA Motive. EA Motive is supposed to be Support Studio. I don’t see this turning out well.

  2. stop EA from making game, remaking and desecrating old good games, the last good game that i played from EA was Star Wars the Jedi Fallen Order

  3. the first game was suppose to be system shock 3. They couldnt get the rights and then they saw resident evil 4 and made it more like that. The second game was an action game, it wasnt as good the third is a coop shooter with microtransactions and a bad one. I have no faith the new one will be good.

      1. no 3 was meh and boring 2 was ok, one was great to awesome, needed some more focus on the difficulty settings, hard is just bulletspongy enemies.

    1. I thought all 3 were great. There was no reason to use the MTs other than to race through the game. Finally got to pay for 2 and 3 once they returned to Steam 🙂

  4. John has to write 2 extra sentences explaining remake because of the dummies out there that will have a nerd spasm if they think the word should be something better to their liking. Shut up dummy.

          1. WRONG, the creator of dead space has created forth game script and has the story, it would have been amazing, its about left humans trying to survive post apocalypse from the Brethren Moons. NOW wow another remake how interesting …..not

    1. EA said years ago that there would be no Dead Space 4 game because Dead Space 3 didn’t sell well and for good reason.

Dead Space 3 sold 5 million copies so I’m not sure why EA was saying that the game didn’t sell well.

EA just hasn’t ever figured it out. You can’t make a mediocre game and expect it to make a ton of money.

      1. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, EA went back into f*king crazy around the time DS3 was being made. They ordered it to be made into “Cawwadoody Zombies in Sphess”, and made it THE first AAA game to feature microtransactions despite already having an entry price of $60.
And to think they were bewildered it failed – but it was obviously Visceral’s fault, not theirs. F*kfaces.

  5. Can’t help but to laugh at this. After the success of C&C Remastered, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Sea of Solitude Director’s Cut, NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered, Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered you really think EA will waste money on a remake when they could slap higher resolution textures on the old games and call it a day?

    1. I finished all 3 games at 144 FPS without issues. None of the issues listed on PCGW doesn’t require a 60 FPS lock.

          1. Yep, but the issue is real nonetheless, the biggest issue IMO is the input and the controls in general, you must navigate the menues using keyboard arrows if i remember right, this is clunky AF as the inventory doesn’t pause the game and you have to stop using your mouse or movement keys to navigate them, and the controller support lacks deadzone by default making the camera movement very uncomfortable

          2. I know, but back then it wasn’t available, anyway the point is, if the remaster is done properly and fixes all the issues the original had it could be good at less than 20 bucks and can be a better purchase for someone who wants to replay the game or new comers, there’s nothing wrong with that

          3. isnt that terepin that you mean, i said it works, but not that its not buggy. two worlds. it works means its supported. so you have a context. for me, i just clicked several times and iot registered. its broken but works even if works means, broken. get it?

          1. Good for you, doesn’t mean it’s the case for everyone else, some of us had issues and saying you didn’t have them is useless, just enjoy your flawless experience and let unlucky people complain

  6. The only thing that needs to be done is a remaster of graphics and glitch fixes of the original trilogy but that’ probably not profitable enough for the shysters. Those were the last EA games I played, still go back and play them every once in a while. 2, 1, 3

  7. Stop supporting EA when they shut down visceral games. Dead space 3 was so disappointing and with me especially with the DLC ending implying dead space 4 was coming in a few years.

  8. Played DS2 not long ago and the game is still visually good.
Can’t remember much of the first one but I really doubt it needs a remake/remaster or any other shlt they trying to pull here.
Cash grab everywhere you look at this industry.

  9. All these woke companies who swore fealty to Satan/The Pope and his minions will go under. And nothing of value will have been lost.
We will make our own games again… with Blackjack, and Hookers. In fact, forget the Blackjack.

  10. Lemme guess – the Shaneequa who betrays the team in DS1 (Kendra Daniels) turns out to be justified in her actions, and it’s also greatly emphasized how she’s such a tough badass independent lesbian BIPOC who don’t need no man, beats juggernauts solo and survives in the end?
