Despite some reports, Halo: Infinite has not been delayed until 2022

Some publications reported earlier today that Halo: Infinite has been delayed until 2022. However, that was an April’s Fools joke from a fake 343 Industries Twitter account and nothing more. Thus, Halo: Infinite is still targeting a Fall 2021 release date.

In short, Halo fans should not worry as 343 Industries does not currently plan to delay the game.

Halo Infinite continues the story of the Master Chief as the third chapter of the Reclaimer Saga. According to the team, this is a direct sequel to Halo 5: Guardian, and will give players more freedom than ever before to explore a sprawling Halo ring.

As Microsoft has already announced, its multiplayer mode will be free to play. It’s also worth noting that Sperasoft is helping with the game’s development.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Still “targeting” Fall 2021, I don’t think they should be talking about time at all. It should be done when it’s done.

If they must talk time, I honestly think it could be better to for for Spring 2022 … the extra six months of polishing might make difference between a hit and a disaster.

When it was revealed how far behind 343 Industries were with ‘Halo: Infinite’, it sounds like it might be very rushed and risk being ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ to read a goal six months from now.

  2. so john when are you going to write about sony exclusives coming to PC again? it’s that time of the year.

  3. Not that i care for the series but those that do… are probably happy its an april 1’st thing 😉 Kind a fun to see how many take things seriously a day like that.

Fool me once – Shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me! How many are shamed and fell for april 1’st jokes more than once ? =P (I know i do ;))
