Back in March 2020, Sony announced its plans to bring Horizon Zero Dawn to the PC. Since then, a lot of people assumed that more Playstation games would be coming to the PC. And today, we have an official confirmation from Sony itself. Yes, Horizon Zero Dawn wasn’t a special case. Instead, Sony does plan to bring even more first-party games to the PC.
As Sony specifically said in its latest financial report, it will explore expanding its first-party titles to the PC platform.
“SIE aims to achieve robust revenue growth by accelerating the virtuous cycle that has been established for the PlayStation Platform. This entails increasing active users and play time, enhancing network services and reinforcing content IP so that consumers select PlayStation as their platform of choice. Targeted outcomes include growth in active users, stronger
retention and a shorter cash conversion cycle, from which expanded cash flow can be expected. We will explore expanding our first-party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability.”
Sony has not stated which other first-party Playstation games will release on the PC. In November 2019, Cory Barlog claimed that he’d love to see God of War on the PC. Then, in January 2020, Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips hinted at Dreams coming to our platform. However, Dreams’ Creative Director claimed that while it would be great to see Dreams on PC, it was not in development at that time.
It’s also interesting noting that in January 2020, Naughty Dog was hiring a programmer that had experience with DX12, Vulkan & NVIDIA GPUs for The Last of Us 2.
Now I’m not saying that The Last of Us 2, God of War or Dreams are 100% coming to PC. Still, these could be some candidates.

The game is awful, is a downgrade when it comes to mechanics, the crawling is OP as sin, you can bypass entire levels by just running from point A to B, the AI is hilariously ancient, the story contradicts itself multiple times and destroys what the original achieved, the only understandable praise comes from the visuals (which on PC would be average at best for 2020)…is a perfect example on how to kill a franchise.

I can assure you that the majority of PC players don’t give a single F for The Last Of Us 2, in the same way they didnt care for Death Stranding.
Just look at the Horizon game port, the only relevant talk (and lasted at least a couple of days) was about how bad the port was.
Death stranding has been received better on pc than ps4 lol, in the long run the pc version may outsell the ps4 version
But death stranding is a special case, the type of the game appeals more to pc gamers than generic aaa third person shooters like last of us or horizon franchises.
Death Stranding is clearly a console game…well, game….is a movie pretending to be a game by trying to be something new, and failing in hold any interest, you are right, is a special case.
If that game was made by some nobody instead of Kojima it would be crap all over.
Most reviews of Horizon on PC are very positive, aside from technical issues. I’m just waiting for another patch or two before buying it.

Consoles are fun, the problem is that you get used to PC performance and get frustraded with some console games. But that’s something you forget as soon as the game catches your attention. yeah, I recently played The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima and few other exclusives on PS4 they all got me hooked, there are games that deserve to be on PC like Horizon if they run well it would be great and won’t mind re-buying for quality

Thanks to timmy tencent’s pos early access store that is lazily tacked on to a free to play launcher for a kid’s game, I too have become a r/paitentgamer.
I was never gonna buy a ps3,ps4, or ps5 for a variety of reasons but the main one being how many limitations they put on me. I need to be able to use m/kb (G600+Stinkyboard in my case) and be able to rebind keys to enjoy gaming.
Add to this the fact that I get to decide between 120hz ultrawide or 4k qled tv. Whether or not I want to add mods, and I can control how quiet and cool my system runs and looks…Ya they had no chance. They saw how much money there was on Steam thanks to Death Stranding(best port in a long time performance wise) and HZD, so hopefully they tell epic to F off and not triple dip.

Not all slow movement speed is bad IF done right. Quake 4 had a slow movement speed and it’s my favorite campaign ever. Also, I don’t hate high speed, again, IF done right, it’s just that Doom 2016 movement mechanics are so shiity that it feels 1 person programmed it, and you’d wish if they programmed it right, but NO! It feels even worse than an indie FPS. Look at Wrack, an indie game, that game had much better movement mechanics than Doom 2016, that’s why I enjoyed it
