This weekend, EA held a big beta testing phase for Battlefield 6. And, although the beta had an NDA, it appears that a new video has been leaked online, showing 33 minutes of gameplay.
In this video, we get to see the Cairo/Egypt map in the Conquest Mode. The game mode is called “Exit Strategy, Siege of Cairo”. This is also a 64-player map. My guess is that there won’t be any 128-player modes. Or at least that’s the vibe I got from DICE’s comments regarding that mode in BF 2042.
What’s interesting here is that this is PC footage. Although the player was using a controller, you can clearly see the PC options at 0:30. Sadly, though, we don’t get to see the graphics settings (which is kind of a bummer).
The bitrate of the video is also a bit low. While it’s better than most of the leaked videos, it’s not as good as the PS5 video we shared a while ago.
EA will officially reveal Battlefield 6 this June at its June Showcase. If this does happen, we can assume we’ll get it by the end of 2025. That’s an educated guess, though, and nothing more. For all we know, it may slip into 2026.
Battlefield 6 seems to be closer to the atmosphere and art style of BF3. In other words, we are looking at a modern-day BF game. It won’t be a WWI, WWII, or futuristic shooter. Again, this is something that will please a lot of BF fans, as everyone has a soft spot for Battlefield 3. And, after what happened with BF2042, I’m certain a lot of people want to go back to the glorious days of BF.
Since this is a leaked video, I recommend watching it right away. EA has taken down the previous video. Thus, it will only be a matter until they take down this one too. So, be sure to watch it while you still can.
The video shows pretty much everything you’d like to see. And yes, it also shows off the game’s destruction system. Just look at 28:20. A video can collapse and actually kill you. This is what a lot of BF have been asking for. And, from the looks of it, BF6 will deliver the goods. Or at least it looks way better than BF 2042.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
