It appears that SEGA has released a teaser trailer for Alien: Isolation 2. Or at least that’s what everyone is assuming this trailer is. Titled False Sense of Security, this teaser trailer shows off some of the game’s environments. And that’s it.
I don’t believe we’re looking at a GOTY Edition of Alien Isolation, an expansion, or a DLC. Alien Isolation came out in 2014. So, a standalone expansion or a DLC for it seems unlikely. Thus, we can assume that this is a teaser trailer for its sequel.
The only thing we know right now is that the game will be published by SEGA and that it will be developed by Creative Assembly. And that’s it.
Alien Isolation was one of the best horror games in 2014. So, here is hoping that CA will not make it “more mainstream”. Let’s hope this new game will be similar to the first one.
Since we’ve only gotten a teaser trailer, I suggest tempering your expectations. We won’t be playing this new Alien game anytime soon. Realistically, we’re looking at a game that will come out in 2028. So, while it’s cool we got a teaser, this will be a nothing-burger for most of you out there.
Anyway, enjoy the teaser and stay tuned for more!
